The Carolina Panthers played the Baltimore Ravens in a Week 11 matchup, and prized offseason acquisition Baker Mayfield started for them. He recently suffered an ankle injury, but that's not the sole reason he didn't play.

He was healthy enough to avoid going on injured reserve, but in his brief health-related absence, he lost the starting job to backup PJ Walker.

While Mayfield and Sam Darnold both recovered from ankle injuries, Walker came in and breathed new life into the offense. They beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and nearly beat the Falcons, thanks to Walker's miraculous touchdown pass.

When will Baker Mayfield play again?

Mayfield played on Sunday vs. the Ravens. He completed 18 of 28 passes for 140 yards and one interception. His pedestrian stats reflected the 13-3 loss that Carolina suffered at the hands of Lamar Jackson and the Ravens.
