The NFL season is an exciting time of the year for all gridiron football fans. The sad part is that it is one of the shortest seasons amongst the top leagues in American sports. With a regular season lasting for just 18 weeks followed by another 4 weeks of playoffs, there are very few games fans get a chance to watch.

Especially when considering that each team plays only once per week. If we are to compare that with the other big leagues in the United States such as the NBA, MLB, and the NHL, then these leagues have teams playing typically 3-4 games a week (6-7 in case of MLB).

The good news though is that, even though most of the games in the NFL are played on Sundays, the league has at least one game scheduled for Monday Night and at least one for Thursday Night. This allows fans to witness NFL games at least three times per week.

Thursday Night Football TV Channel

Thursday Night Football games are being broadcast exclusively on Amazon Prime. The NFL and Amazon reached an agreement in 2022 allowing the OTT giant to capture the Thursday Night Football game slot which has boosted their number of subscriptions significantly.

Amazon has appointed the vastly experienced Al Michaels who is the play-by-play commentator and he is joined by analyst Kirk Herbstreit. The sideline reporting duties are given to Kaylee Hartung.

In the United States, you can easily watch Thursday Night Football Tonight Live on Amazon’s TNF page or it is also simultaneously casted on the Prime Video Twitch channel for free.

Thursday Night Football Kickoff Time

The Thursday night football kickoff time is generally the same throughout the year. Teams playing on Thursday night will kickoff at 8:15 p.m. ET (Eastern time). For the more enthusiastic fans, you can catch the pregame show which will air from 7:00 p.m. ET onwards which is hosted by Charissa Thompson, Ryan Fitzpatrick, Tony Gonzalez, and Richard Sherman, a fine panel of experts and former NFL players.
