On March 19, 2020, former New England Patriots QB Tom Brady signed his contract with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. It was a two-year deal worth $50 million fully guaranteed with up to $4.5 million each year in incentives and includes no-trade and no-tag clauses. This gave Brady the opportunity to make as much as $29.5 million in 2020. Also according to the contract, each of the next two seasons’ base salary for Brady was $15 million. For being on the Buccaneers’ roster, a $10 million bonus was also added to that of a $25 million guaranteed salary. In 2020 and 2021, both roster bonuses became fully guaranteed after 3 days of signing the contract.
Tom Brady signed a new one year extension to his contract which took him through the 2022-23 NFL Season. Brady retired at the end of the 2022-23 NFL Season after 23 illustrious years in the NFL. Brady signed a massive $375 million deal with Fox Sports to become their lead NFL analyst. The reportedly 10 year deal is supposed to start in 2024 or whenever Brady takes up the role.

Brady’s 2 year’s 50 million deal with the Buccaneers is his highest ever contract. Even more than that he had with the New England Patriots. Brady made over $230 million across his 20 seasons in New England, yet rarely had a base salary over $4 million. Only in 2015, Brady received the highest base salary of $8 million in New England. Brady’s $7.5 million base salary in 2010 was the only other year he cleared $6 million from the base. But with the Buccaneers, he gets a base salary of $15 million.

In the 2000 draft as the 199th overall pick, Brady’s deal was for four years and $2.52M. His signing bonus was $157,608. His rookie salary was $193K.
