HU Yun: A Brief Biography

HU Yun is a Chinese badminton player from Hong Kong. He started his badminton career at a very young age and went on to participated in numerous national and international tournaments. His highest ranking to date was recorded at the 10 th position on 2nd December 2010. Hu Yun won the silver medal in men\'s singles event at the World Championships in 2004 for the People\'s Republic of China. In 2009, he agin garnered international acclaim after winning the silver medal at the Philliipines Open. The following year, he took home a bronze medal after he finished third in the Asian Championships. In 2012 Hu yun amazed everyone by putting up an impressive top quality badminton playing as he defeated his higher ranked challenger Peter Hoeg Gade of Denmark in Men’s Singles first round at the Yonex Japan Open 2012 in Japan. In 2012, he represented his country along with his squad at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London.
