Jordan Pickford: A Brief Biography

Jordan Pickford is an English professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for the England national team and Premier League side Everton FC.

Early Life

Jordan Pickford was born on March 7, 1994, in Washington, Tyne and Wear, England. Pickford attended St Robert of Newminster Catholic School, where he played football for the school team. He was known for his skills as a goalkeeper and was scouted by Sunderland AFC's academy when he was just eight years old.

At the age of 16, Pickford signed a scholarship with Sunderland AFC and began playing for the club's youth teams. He quickly progressed through the ranks, and in 2011, he made his debut for the club's reserve team.

Club Career

Pickford started his career at Sunderland and appeared 36 times for the Black Cats in all competitions. In July 2017, the 23-year-old custodian became the most expensive British goalkeeper in history in June 2017 when he penned a five-year contract with Everton for a record fee of 30 million Euros.
