Background

Krishan’s childhood has been quite rough and he had to face those hardships which can break someone. His father had migrated from Nepal to Punjab in 1990. He was only 12 years old when his mother passed away and that was the most difficult time in his life and he describes that his family fell apart after that. He then spent his days at his uncle’s home and the rest nine years were spent at the Jalandhar sports hostel.

The most difficult part of his life was in 2016 when only after three months of celebrating his birthday and just two days remaining to leave for his first international debut to start his career, his father suffered a heart attack and passed away. But as Krishan describes that he had so many setbacks these years that this moment was not as painful as he had lived his whole life in hardships.

Krishan lives in a apartment which is rented in Punjab with his uncle as the Punjab Government had promised in 2016 to pay Rs 25 lacs to 10 players who were responsible for India winning 2016 Junior hockey but the wait is still going on as the Government has still not given the amount and Krishan wants to build his own accommodation with it.

Career

He describes that he had only joined the Jalandhar sports academy at the age of 12 only due to his father’s insistence and he was not quite interested in sports.
