Ram Singh Yadav: A Brief Biography
Ram Singh Yadav is an Indian marathon runner who represented India at the 2012 Summer Olympics, London. He is the only other Indian athlete besides Shivnath Singh to be qualified for the marathon event of the Olympics. For the 2012 Summer Olympics, Ram underwent training for 45 days at a high-altitude training centre in Coonoor town of Nilgiris district, Tamil Nadu. Following the training, he participated in the 2012 Mumbai marathon coming in 12th at 2:16:59 which came very well under the B qualification standard of 2:18:00- a personal best for Ram.
