Tamina Snuka: A Brief Biography
Sarona Moana-Marie Reiher Snuka-Polamalu is an American professional wrestler signed with WWE. She is best known for her work with WWE as Tamina. She is a former WWE Women's Tag Team Champion. She is currently assigned to RAW.
Professional Wrestling Career
WWE (2010-Present)
Debut, AJ Lee and Team B.A.D (2010-2016)
In 2010, Snuka made her debut alongside The Usos and went as Tamina. She stayed with The Usos for a year and assisted them during their matches. She eventually left the duo and began her solo career. After several losses during championship matches, Tamina took some time off to heal her injuries.
In 2013, Tamina returned and became AJ Lee's personal bodyguard. Tamina helped Lee on several occasions and worked on tag team matches with her. In 2014, she split with Lee and faced her at WrestleMania XXX and lost. On RAW, she won a match to face Paige for the Divas Championship but lost.
In 2015, she joined forces with Sasha Banks and Naomi to form Team B.A.D. The team became quite popular and Banks became the star of the group. In 2016, Banks decided to quit the stable. However, she was attacked by Tamina and Naomi. At WrestleMania 32, Team Total Divas defeated Team B.A.D and Blonde.
Team with Lana, Nia Jax and Natalya (2017-2021)
In 2017, Lana became Tamina's manager and ensure her a championship. After several failed attempts, the two went their separate ways. Tamina has been injured several times during her career, which usually took her out for 10-12 months.
In 2018, Tamina returned to RAW and began teaming up with Nia Jax. At Elimination Chamber, they entered the match for the inaugural WWE Women's Tag Team Championship and lost. At WrestleMania 35, they entered a fatal 4 which they lost to The IIconics.
Tamina has entered every Women's Royal Rumble match in the company's history so far. In 2020, Tamina went to SmackDown and formed a team with Natalya. At WrestleMania 37, they won a tag team turmoil match for the WWE Women's Championship. However, they lost the match the next night.
Split and 24/7 Championship (2021-Present)
A month later, Natalya and Tamina won the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship. After 129 days, the duo lost the titles on RAW to Nikki A.S.H and Rhea Ripley. During the Draft, they drafted Tamina to RAW and Natalya stayed on SmackDown.
On RAW, Tamina has been involved in various backstage segments for the 24/7 Championship. She is currently feuding with Dana Brooke, Reggie, R-Truth, and Akira Tozawa for the 24/7 Championship. She is scheduled to enter the Women's Royal Rumble match.
