Sony Pictures Sports Network brings to you the 'Rotunda Rumble 2' which features a main event clash between Indian boxing legend Vijender Singh and Charles Adamu at Caesars Palace Bluewaters in Dubai on 22nd November 2019.
The bout is Vijender Singh’s second fight in 2019 and 12th professional fight overall. Vijender Singh boasts of an Olympic bronze medal, a World Championship bronze medal, Asian Games gold and bronze medals, a bronze and two silver medals at the Commonwealth Games and bronze and silver medals at Asian Championships. Since turning professional in 2015, Singh has remained unbeaten in 11 fights and captured the WBO Asia Pacific and Oriental Super middleweight titles.
Speaking about the fight, Vijender Singh said-
“I am fully excited for my Dubai debut. I know Charles Adamu is an experienced boxer but I can easily knock him in the early rounds. I am sure he will try his best but I have worked hard in the last two months on my technique and fitness.”
The 34-year old Indian takes on Charles Adamu, also known as “The Crusader” who is a two-time Commonwealth Games champion and has won 33 of 47 professional fights he has competed in. The Ghanaian veteran has previously locked horns against the world’s top boxers in countries like Ghana, UK, Canada, South Africa, Denmark, Latvia and more. The 42-year old veteran will head into the fight as an underdog, having won just one of his last five bouts.
Rotunda Rumble 2 also features other swashbuckling fights between British super-lightweight, Jack Catterall and Germany’s Timo Schwarzkopf and Pakistan's Muhammad Waseem versus former world champion Ganigan Lopez.
