5 All Elite Wrestling Matches We'd Love to see at AEW: Full Gear

All Elite Wrestling have been making history quite a lot over the past year, and now that TV is the next step, we begin the build until AEW: Full Gear from Baltimore, Maryland on November the 9th. We've already seen the first AEW World Champion crowned, and on October 2, we'll see the first Women's Champion crowned, so by the time Full Gear comes around, AEW will be in full swing, so it's the next big challenge for them.

The build will be much easier this time around given weekly TV will be on for a month before this event and given how few PPV's the company will reportedly run, they need to pull out some big matches. While we can predict the full card closer to the date, we can think of a few big-time matches we'd love to see on the show, and here are 5 of them.

#5 LAX vs. Lucha Bros - Final match in the AEW World Tag Team Championship Tournament

The duo of Santana and Ortiz made their surprise debut in All Elite Wrestling at All Out, by attacking The Lucha Bros and The Young Bucks following their amazing effort in the Escalara De La Meurte. While they will meet regardless in the future, putting them in a high-stakes bout early on makes complete sense, and given their past meetings, we know it would steal the show no matter the rest of the card.

In similar fashion to their rivalry with The Young Bucks, LAX provide Pentagon and Fenix with athletic opponents they can fly around with, but they can both work several different styles. While LAX are the newest team to the company, their debut came in a huge moment, proving that AEW think very highly of them, and it shouldn't surprise anyone to see them in this spot come November 9.

#4 Bea Priestley vs. Britt Baker

While you can plan things as much as you want in wrestling, sometimes, stuff just happens, and after an incident between Bea Priestley and Britt Baker at Fight for the Fallen, they're on a collision course. These are two of the most talented women in the world today, and after they both failed to win the Casino Battle Royale, this could be a huge contest for the future of both women, and it would make for a fantastic contest.

The heat between the two came to a head at All Out, and it's only a matter of time until we see the two go head to head, so hopefully All Elite Wrestling can hold them apart until Full Gear. Priestley is further ahead than Baker at this point, and her run in Stardom over the last year has been incredible, so if Britt can step up to the plate, this could be one of the best women's matches in recent memory.

#3 'Hangman' Adam Page vs. PAC

As you can see, this match should have happened back in May at Double or Nothing before PAC pulled out due to creative differences, but as we know with AEW, they will keep a story going. Following PAC's win and Hangman's biggest loss of his career at All Out, the Englishmen confronted Page, and it looks like the two are on course to clash yet again.

We've been told that wins matter in All Elite Wrestling, and a win over Kenny Omega is almost as big as it comes, so if PAC can come out on top here, he'll be next in line for a big title opportunity. In terms of in-ring action, this could be the best match in AEW's young history, and with the history that these two men have had, it would be yet another co-main event that would be fantastic, and given what would be on the line, both men would give it their all.

#2 Kenny Omega vs. Jon Moxley

This is another match that almost happened, and with the elbow injury likely to be healed by November, it's time for Kenny Omega and Jon Moxley to finally clash on a big stage. After Kenny came up short against PAC at All Out, his singles record has fallen to 1-2, and if he wants to prove that The Best Bout Machine can be the top guy in AEW, he needs a big victory on this stage.

Moxley is also eager to prove himself after leaving WWE, and will be seeking redemption for having to pull out of All Out with a very unfortunate injury. Given the opposing styles that both of these men work, this match is going to be an intriguing one, and given that each star is desperate to prove themselves and get them in line for a shot at Chris Jericho, this one is huge, and it NEEDS to happen at Full Gear.

#1 Chris Jericho (c) vs. Cody - AEW World Championship

On Saturday, Chris Jericho made history yet again by becoming the first-ever AEW World Champion, and if wins and losses truly matter, Cody should be the first challenger on PPV for the Painmaker. With singles victories over Shawn Spears and Dustin Rhodes, plus a draw with Darby Allin, Cody is the only logical choice here, and given the differences, the two have had in the early stages of AEW, it would make for a great contest.

While this may not feel like the best match AEW could put forward now, especially with the likes of PAC, Moxley, Omega, Pentagon and so many other stars on the roster, but it makes sense from the two different ways mentioned above. This could also be a great spot for MJF to finally turn on Cody, but either way, there's a great story and two great performers here that would further legitimize AEW as a true force in professional wrestling.
