5 Wrestlers that AEW Should do more with in 2020

AEW is not yet a year old, but they've already given us plenty of great moments and exposed us to new stars, and in 2020, we would love to see more of what the All Elite Wrestling roster has to offer us. Darby Allin, Riho, Private Party and plenty of others weren't huge names on the independent scene before joining AEW, and while some people on this list are known well, the should be doing more with them.

This isn't to say that the booking is bad, as AEW have done plenty of great things, but their roster is so deep that we want to see more from some of their under-utilized performers, and 2020 is a great time to start doing it. So without further ado, sit back and read along as we look to the second year of All Elite Wrestling and look at 5 performers currently on their roster (or who have appeared on several shows) who should be seen plenty more.

#5 Kip Sabian (with Penelope Ford)

Kip Sabian is one of the most talented performers on the AEW roster, and as his relationship with Penelope Ford grows, so will the star of 'SuperBad'. The British star may be small, but he's a great technical performer with good looks and a great character, so if AEW can find a way to use this new power couple, they could be very valuable going forward.

We've seen Sabian in one huge contest against Adam Page back at Fight for the Fallen, and he showed just how great he is there, but by embracing the SuperBad attitude, he could become a big-time star. Ultimately, he may not have the ability to be a main event superstar, but if AEW do right by him, he could play a big role in the company for years to come.

#4 Kris Statlander

Kris Statlander is a name that not many were familiar with a few months ago, but with a few appearances on AEW Dark and one upcoming on Dynamite, few will be able to forget The Galaxies Greatest Alien. Sure, she's a very unique performer, as evidenced by her backstage interview with Alex Marvez a week ago, but with that and some incredible athleticism, she could be a breakout star for All Elite Wrestling in the coming year.

With a contest against AEW #1 Hikaru Shida on this week's episode of Dynamite, Statlander could quickly make a name for herself before the end of 2019, but regardless, she will be a star for the company. Kris has size, strength, and athleticism, and if AEW can build her away from the likes of Awesome Kong, we could see a fantastic showdown at some point in 2020, leading Statlander to superstardom.

#3 Jimmy Havoc

Jimmy Havoc has been a staple of the British independent wrestling scene for years now, and he finally got his big break in 2019, signing for All Elite Wrestling, but we need more from him. At this point in time, most people know about The King of the Goths is that he's very violent, likes hardcore wrestling and uses a staple gun, but he's one of the best storytellers out there, so AEW need to use this.

Havoc carried indie standout Progress for years with his great storytelling and unique style, and while he's not a main event talent for a huge company like AEW, he could be a fantastic performer for them. If AEW were to introduce a second belt for the singles division, Havoc would be a perfect contender, and even if he isn't pushed to the level of Chris Jericho or the other main event talent, Jimmy can be very useful for them, so they need to find a way to utilize that.

#2 Jamie Hayter

The women's division has been the weakest part of All Elite Wrestling thus far, but there's plenty of talent, and arguably the most talented all around performer is England's, Jamie Hayter. She has made several appearances with AEW, and as a pure heel, there aren't many better on the indie scene today, and with a true lack of attitude in this division, a big injection of Hayter would be a huge help for the company.

With so much talent, it's hard to push so many performers at once, and AEW have proven they can tell several stories throughout each division, so the rise of Jamie Hayter (perhaps alongside Bea Priestley) needs to be one that happens in 2020. Despite being just 24, Hayter has plenty of experience, and if the company got right behind her, you could have the type of heel that could lead this division for years to come, so we hope they take a huge chance on her.

#1 Orange Cassidy

Orange Cassidy has been dividing wrestling fans for a while, so when AEW decided to take a shot with him, it was met with mixed reactions online, but it doesn't seem that way on Dynamite. Whenever 'Freshly Squeezed' turns up on screen, the All Elite Wrestling crowd in attendance pops huge, and while they've been playing it slow with him so far, 2020 is a big chance for them to ramp it up with Cassidy.

Again, not everyone will approve of this because of the unique gimmick, but Cassidy has a fantastic connection with the crowd, and whether it's alongside Best Friends or alone, this many has money written all over him. We've only seen Orange in one match (pinfall match, as he's been in both Battle Royal's) in AEW, but he's shown up several other times, but if they can harness how unique and entertaining this gimmick is, they could have a major star on their hands.
