As All Elite Wrestling gears up for its television debut in October, the new promotion has announced several matches for its first two advertised shows. In addition to Kenny Omega and the Young Bucks facing off with Chris Jericho and two mystery partners on the first show, Cody will square off with Sammy Guevara in the first match on TNT.

The following week in Boston, another new match was announced involving two former WWE stars. When the show comes to Beantown, AEW revealed on Twitter today that Jon Moxley will be facing off with the Chairman of All Elite Wrestling, Shawn Spears.

Moxley returns to TV

When AEW makes its television debut, it will also mark a return to network TV for the former Dean Ambrose, Jon Moxley. He'll be at the first show in Washington DC on October 2nd but has now been advertised on TNT for an actual match on October 9th at the Agganis Arena in Boston.

Spears also has experience performing on both live and taped TV, as he was a long-tenured member of NXT but was promoted to the main roster as part of the SmackDown brand. He didn't receive much in the way of pushes, as he lost matches to the likes of Randy Orton and others while a member of the blue brand.

Moxley and Spears at All Out

Before anyone gets to show off on TV, both men have big matches planned for All Out. After his unexpected attack on friend Cody, Spears will be facing off with the American Nightmare.

Spears has enlisted Tully Blanchard, a member of the infamous Four Horsemen and a rival of Cody's father, Dusty Rhodes, as a manager and confidant. Will the mind games work for Spears against one of the top stars of AEW?

Perhaps one of the most anticipated matches in AEW's short history will also go down at All Out. At the end of Double or Nothing, after Chris Jericho defeated Kenny Omega for the right to compete for the AEW Heavyweight Championship, Moxley appeared and attacked both men. His attack of Omega went to the stage and was a huge moment for both AEW and Moxley.
