All Elite Wrestling's Rey Fenix and tag team partner Pentagon Jr. have been making waves in the United States since their time on Lucha Underground, Impact, and just about everywhere in between. They've held tag-team gold in HOG, Impact, AAA, and MLW.

Fenix is no stranger to singles competition either. He has earned singles gold in Lucha Underground as Lucha Underground Heavyweight Champion and Gift From The Gods Champion. He was AAA Mega Champion, as well as Fusion Champion. Perched On The Top Rope caught up with AEW's Rey Fenix. Audio appears below.

SK: What's going on everyone, it's Lee Walker here and joining me today is one-half of The Lucha Brothers Fenix. Fenix, how are you doing today?

Fenix: All good, man. Thank you for the interview.

SK: You spent most of your career in AAA. What was it like to return there in 2018?

Fenix: It was good. I like AAA because big things change. Now the thing for The Lucha Brothers is to take all the world. When you go home to Mexico, AAA, and show everyone that we're one of the best - no, we are the best tag team in the world and on the planet right now.

SK: What was it like to win the Impact Tag-Team Titles?

Fenix: Man, when we were on Impact Wrestling, we knew it. A lot of wrestlers crossed Impact and TNA on the way. We were excited. We went to Impact to take the gold.

Now we have big support with the fans. We enjoy Lucha Libre, wrestling, or whatever you want to call it. The more important thing is we enjoy the people, enjoy the crowd.

We were fans before. We come from the underground. We know how it feels to be the people in the chairs, and we know how it feels setting up the chairs, and the ring because all this work we've done before. Anywhere we go, we just enjoy the business, enjoy Lucha Libre, the sport with talent, fans, because we all support wrestling.

SK: How mad were you when The Young Bucks came to AAA and surprised you guys and took the gold?

Fenix: It was a big surprise, and we couldn't believe it. I think The Young Bucks are our rivalry of the year. That's why May 25, we showed these guys why we're the best tag team in the world and universe.

SK: Where can fans find you on social media?

Fenix: On Facebook, it is @ReyFenixKing, and on Twitter and Instagram, it's @ReyFenixMX.
