Chain Singh bagged gold medal at Asian Championship

The great performances of Indians continued at the Asia Air Gun Championship as Chain Singh won the gold medal in the men’s air rifle event in Kuwait on Monday. Singh won the top prize with a score of 206, after scoring 619.6 in the qualification round.

Chain Singh also bagged bronze medal in the men’s team event. Chain Singh, Ravi Kumar and PT Raghunath were the members of the team.

In the women’s air pistol team event, India was tied with China as both the teams had identical scores. However, on the basis of a better inner 10 score, the Chinese won the gold medal. The bronze medal was won by Chinese Taipei with a total score of 1134/1200.

In the men’s air rifle event, another Indian, Ravi Kumar, finished 6th in the finals. He scored 620.7 and 119.6.

Indian shooters have performed really well at the championships so far, having won three gold, two silver and two bronze medals overall.
