Four shoot perfect rounds on Day one of Men’s Trap qualifications at 63rd Shotgun Nationals

Four shooters shot two perfect rounds of 25-hits each to highlight qualification day one of the Men’s Trap competition at the 63rd National Shooting Championship Competitions (63rd NSCC) for Shotgun events, presently underway at New Delhi’s Dr. Karni Singh Shooting Range (DKSSR).

Among those at the top are India internationals Kynan Chenai and Zoravar Singh Sandhu as well as Manavaditya Singh Rathore, who is the only ‘junior’ among the four. Arjun Singh of Haryana completes the quartet.

Other prominent names chasing the leading pack with three more rounds to go are Prithviraj Tondaiman of Tamil Nadu, who missed one target to be on 49, while the likes of Mansher Singh, Md.Asab, Shardul Vihaan and Shapath Bharadwaj who were all on a score of 48.

The President of the National Rifle Association of India, Mr. Raninder Singh had rounds of 23 and 24 to be further back with 47.

Hon. Governor of Punjab, Shri. V.P.Singh Badnore, competing in the Veterans section returned rounds of 16 and 12.

Two more rounds are scheduled for Thursday, with the final round on Friday followed by the final. The top six qualifiers from the 221-strong field compete for the coveted title of National Champion.
