#3 Manchester City and Aston Villa
Carles Gil’s transfer to Aston Villa seems to have hit a blockade due to agent fees. As reports suggest, the proposed deal comprised of a transfer fee of £3.25m and 5-year contract. The club officials have made no official announcement regarding the transfer but are confident of getting it done.
Incoming reports today also suggest that Manchester City might consider a £20m bid for Jay Rodriguez. The Southampton striker is also on the radar of Liverpool and Tottenham but City seems keen on beating them to Rodriguez’s signature. Reports have also added that the striker has been offered to extend his stay at St Mary’s Stadium.
Reports in Italy suggest that Manchester City’s Stevan Jovetic has been offered a loan deal from Juventus. City are willing to sell Jovetic to build up a small part of Bony’s fee but Juventus are interested only in a loan deal as the price quoted for a permanent deal by Manchester City has been reported as “excessive” by the latter.
