There has been a buzz around many players and clubs, with players seeking moves away from their respective clubs for various reasons from playing time to better contracts. Nonetheless, the January window is poised to give us some interesting news.Here are the transfer news and rumours for the day.

#1 Serie A

- According to the Daily Star, Juventus have already approached Manchester United in a move to sign midfielder Ander Herrera. The Italian champions are desperate to strengthen their midfield in the transfer window and have now turned to Herrera after attempts to sign Gundogan failed to materialize. However, United would only consider selling the 26-year-old if the Serie A giants bid in the region of £40m.

- Roma are set to officially announce the signing of Gerson from Brazilian outfit Fluminense. The 18-year-old has reportedly signed a five-year deal with the Giallorossi in a deal that cost them around €17 million according to La Gazzetta dello sport.

- Lazio have completed the signing of Serbian defender Milan Bisevac from Lyon after the player passed a medical yesterday. The club released a brief statement confirming it and said, “Milan Bisevac is a new Biancocelesti player.”

#2 La Liga

- According to Turkish outlet Milliyet, Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane is considering a bid for Fiorentina striker Mario Gomez, who is currently on loan at Besiktas, to play second fiddle to Karim Benzema. So far this season the 30-year-old has scored 15 goals from his 22 outings in all competitions and is the Frenchman's preferred choice to fill that role.

- Real Sociedad have reportedly approached Real Madrid on the availability of Jese Rodriguez according to reports from Spain.The 22-year-old is eager to depart the Bernabeu, having been left frustrated by the fact that he has made just four La Liga starts this season.

- Villareal defender Bojan Jokic is reportedly close to signing for English championship side Nottingham Forest according to rumours from the Nottingham Post. The Slovenian international has failed to make an impact with the first team this season.

#3 English Premier League

- According to the Mirror, Watford striker Odion Ighalo has admitted that it will be difficult to turn down a move to Manchester United if they come calling. The striker has been in stunning form in his debut season in the Premier League, netting 14 goals during the first half of the season.

“There has been speculation from Spain and Italy but I’ve played there and now want to play in England. I don’t think I will be moving but I’m not sure I’d say no if United called. They were my team growing up. I loved watching Andy Cole and Dwight Yorke on TV. They were my idols and playing at Old Trafford has always been a dream."

- Liverpool are linked with Borussia Dortmund defender Neven Subotic reports The Guardian. Jurgen Klopp is facing an injury crisis in terms of defenders and is ready to splash out in the January transfer window.

- Adnan Januzaj has returned to Manchester United after breaking his loan-spell with Borussia Dortmund, the club confirmed today on their official site. The Belgian will join the camp immediately after flying back to Manchester.

- Arsenal have launched a €60 million bid to try and sign Borussia Dortmund hitman Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang according to Spanish Journalist Kike Marin. Marin was the first to break the Alexis Sanchez to Arsenal deal two years ago and is considered as a reliable source across Europe.

- AS Monaco have reportedly made a pre-contract offer to promising Fulham striker Moussa Dembele according to reports from France. The striker was previously linked with Premier league clubs Tottenham and Everton who are set to face stiff competition with Monaco for his signature.

- FC Mainz have completed the signing of Karim Onisiwo on a free transfer according to soccernet.com. The Austrian-born forward penned the three-and-a-half-year contract that will keep him at the club until the summer of 2019.
