NBA teams and their Pokemon mascots!

Sometimes Ilove to let my imagination go free and wild. And the last time when it went on a small tour it came back with a bunch of Pokeballs. I hope you people know what a pokeball is, otherwise I would sadly like to state that your childhoodwas not veryawesome. So just for fun, today let us consider the NBA teams compared with the correspondingpokemons as their mascots, and maybe even new team names. Hope the readers enjoy this exercise!

#1 Atlanta Hawks

How about a a mighty Zapdos showering electric shocks all over the opponents.

And how about the all new “Atlanta Shocks”? Sounds exciting, doesn’t it.

#2 Boston Celtics

The team is known for its great championship history and the green logo. So how about a grass type pokemon as a mascot. And who better than the pokemon #1 Bulbasaur.

And the team could be named “Boston Whipes”!

#3 Brooklyn Nets

After the disappointing season, let us change the name to Brooklyn Coughing (pun intended) and make Koffing as their brand ambassador.

#4 Charlotte Bobcats

For some reason that I can’t explain, I do no want to change the name of the franchise. Okay I lied, there is a perfectly straightforward reason. I have found the perfect mascot for the Bobcats – Meowth!

#5 Chicago Bulls

No one would have any doubt regarding what this is going to be. Chicago Tauros!

#6 Cleveland Cavaliers

How about ‘Cleveland Gravelers’? With another top lottery pick this year, you never know, the Gravelers, I mean the Cavaliers may be able to move some ground and make some noise.

#7 Dallas Mavericks

The Big horse on fire Rapidash would suit them well. And let us call them ‘Dallas Rapids’. Seems interesting to me!

#8 Denver Nuggets

You want the nuggets, you need to dig. And no one digs better then the Diglets. So presenting to you the ground type pokemon Diglett, the mascot of the Denver Digletts!

#9 Detroit Pistons

Detroit Pinsirs. Nothing more to add.

#10 Golden State Warriors

I cannot imagine any pokemon other than Wartortle to justify this role. So let us call them the Golden State Wartortles!

#11 Houston Rockets

Prepare for trouble!Make it double! To protect the world from devastation! To unite all peoples within our nation! To denounce the evils of truth and love!To extend our reach to the stars above!

Do I need to say anything more? Houston Rockets are the Team Rocket.

#12 Indiana Pacers

Well, I would call them Indiana Cocoons, because of the simillarity in defensive strengths, and also the yellow colour.

#13 LA Clippers

The LA Oysters, because of how shiny and sparkly Los Angeles is. The team will have a powerful mascot in Cloyster.

#14 LA Lakers

Lakers will be Lakers. And their mascot has to be the strong and mighty Gyarados to rule the lakes. If you know what I mean.

#15 Memphis Grizzlies

With Primeape taking over the mascot position in Memphis, the team will be known as the ‘Memphis Apes’.

#16 Miami Heat

It is hot in Miami. Where is this scorching heat coming from? Look at the sky, it’s a bird, it’s a plane, oh no dear no. It’s the new Mascot of the Miami Flames, the legendary Moltres!

#17 Milwaukee Bucks

Over the past few seasons, the Bucks have hidden themselves in a cave and somehow turned into bats. So the new Milwaukee basketball team the Milwaukee Bats would have Golbat handling the mascot role.

#18 Minnesota Timberwolves

The Timberwolves have recently shown that they have some fire in them. And to keep the flames going, there is a new mascot in town - Vulpix!

#19 New Orleans Pelicans

One of my favourite young teams. The Pelicans will be well-justified by the strong Fearow, and hence the name ‘New Orleans Fearows’.

#20 New York Knicks

Just for fun, the ‘New York Kicks’. With Hitmonlee kicking some serious butt!

#21 Oklahoma City Thunder

Let there be thunder and let there be lightning bolts.Because the fan favourite Pikachu has taken the lead in Oklahama City.

#22 Orlando Magic

Needless to say, we have Magikarp flailing and struggling to keep up with the position of the mascot in Orlando.

#23 Philadelphia 76ers

This one is tough. The way 76ers tanked their last season, even the pokemons would run away. The only one left behind would be Slowpoke. Thus we have the Philadelphia Slowpokes.

#24 Phoenix Suns

After the team blossomed in the second half of the 2013-2014 season, a lot of gloom has gathered in the light of the Phoenix Suns and we just cannot deny these cute little... whatever these are. So I put forward the new Phoenix Glooms team.

#25 Portland Trail Blazers

Let’s call them the Portland Smashers because Machamp has joined the RIP city party.

#26 Sacramento Kings

There is a new king in town all the way from the beach area. The tough Kingler is here to announce the new ‘Sacramenton Kinglers’!

#27 San Antonio Spurs

A wild grass bell pokemon got lost and reached Coach Pop. So we have the all new San Antonio Sprouts!

#28 Toronto Raptors

Raise some noise, because we have a real raptor in the house. Charmeleon is here so watchout for the Toronto Saurus!

#29 Utah Jazz

It is time for Utah fans to go to sleep for some time. And to give them company Snorlax has taken the place of the mascot in Utah.

#30 Washington Wizards

It is gonna get chilly in the D.C. as Articuno has landed in the area to support the ‘Washington Blizzards’!
