The duo of Steve Johnson and Sam Querrey will take on the pair of Michael Russell and Donald Young in an all-American clash in the 3rd round at the 2015 US Open.
The American pair of Johnson and Querrey defeated the top-seeded Bryan Brothers(7-6,5-7,6-3) in the 1st round and the Indo-Spanish pair of Leander Paes/Fernando Verdasco(7-5,4-6,6-3) in the 2nd round while the other American pair of Russell and Young overcame the challenge posed by David Goffin/Dominic Thiem (6-3,3-6,6-3) and Juan-Sebastian Cabal/Robert Farah(6-3,7-6) in the 1st round and 2nd round respectively.
The 26-year old Donald Young is still active in the Gentlemen’s singles category and will be playing against number 5 seeded Stan Wawrinka in the round of 16 clash.
The two pairs have not met each other on the professional circuit.
