US Open 2015: Day 3 Doubles preview

The Bryan brothers won their career 100th title at last year’s US Open

#2 Marcin Matkowski/Nenad Zimonjic (4) vs Pablo Carreno Busta/Guillermo Garcia-Lopez

Marcin Matkowski (L) of Poland and Nenad Zimonjic of Serbia at the Western and Southern Open last month

The Polish-Serbian men’s doubles pair of Marcin Matkowski and Nenad Zimonjic are seeded 4th in the doubles rankings and will take on the Spanish pair of Pablo Carreno Busta and Guillermo in their 1st round match of the 2015 US Open tournament.

The two pairs have not met before in the professional tennis circuit and will be hoping to bring the element of surprise into play when they meet in their 1st round clash.

The Polish-Serbian duo are fresh from their runners-up finish at the 2015 Cincinnati Open where they were beaten by the French-Canadian pair of Daniel Nestor and Edouard Roger Vasselin in the final.

Early in January 2015, the Spanish duo was beaten by the Indian-South African pair of Leander Paes and Raven Klaasen at the ATP Chennai Open semis.

Prediction: The 4th seeded pair to win in straight sets.
