5 reasons why John Cena will always be a bigger WWE star than Brock Lesnar

Where on one side, Brock Lesnar is adored by the IWC, John Cena on the other holds a contrasting reputation of being a hated entity among the hardcore pro-wrestling fans. The two superstars have all the resources needed to pull crowds all across the world and have done so time and again. Yet, one question remains relevant: who is better? There are many arguments that arise when this question is pitted to the fan base.No matter how Cena is received by the crowd week in and week out, he is by far a better WWE superstar when compared to Lesnar on the other side of the comparison. For people who doubt it, here are the reasons why.

#5 Wrestling schedule of both Superstars

If you didnt know, John Cena is older than Brock Lesnar. Considering the wrestling schedule that these two have, it would be safe to say that Cena is more willing to put his health at staketo entertain the loyal WWE fans.

Lesnar after returning from UFC has been running on a toned down schedule with only pay-per-view matches. The fans of Lesnar might argue that he is too big to work in the weekly show but someone who received an exposure from WWE is never too big.

Cena on the other hand has been working regularly with and without injuries for more than ten years now, even working in weekly shows despite his commitments outside of professional wrestling.

#4 The achievements

A 15 time World Champion, 2 time Royal Rumble winner, Money in the bank winner, 3 time Slammy award winner, 3 time US champion, 3 time Tag team champion, named No. 1 wrestler for three years, contested almost all the gimmick matches in WWE, named in list of 10 most popular athletes on the planet along with Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi, Sachin Tendulkar and Tiger Woods, made 1000+ wishes come true for poor kids across the world and more.

I could write a whole new list about the achievements that Cena has had during his wrestling career.

Lesnar started out strong in the WWE and reached the top winning the WWE championship. His short stint in the WWE contributesto a lesser resume than Cenas, with only a UFC run to show outside the promotion.

If things are taken only on a wrestling basis, Lesnar ending Takers streak at WrestleMania isnt enough to make his achievements better than thoseoff the leader of theCenation.

#3 Cena doesnt need a manager to talk

From the moment that Lesnar made his debut in the WWE, Paul Heyman has been the one who has done all the talking. Its not like the beast cant deliver a good promo, but for one reason or the other, the company realized that Lesnar needed Heyman.

And then there is Cena, someone who is considered as one of the best talkers on the roster right now. He might be using the same old formula again and again, but Cena still manages to evoke emotions in the crowd through his use of the microphone.

Cena also didnt require a manager during his initial run while Lesnar was pampered with a wrestling genius like Heyman.

#2 Lesnar didnt have to work his way up

From the moment Lesnar stepped into the promotion, Vince McMahon and his creative team was high on the superstar. And high doesnt mean the height that Evan Bourne jumps to deliver his moves; it means the height more than what New Jack threw Vic Grimes off at ECW.

Just after months of his debut, Lesnar was feuding with the likesof Hulk Hogan and the Rock. He went on to become the youngest World Champion by defeating Rock at the SummerSlam main event just five months after his debut.

It was then a walk in the park for him while Cena had the tough route. WWE saw Cena only as a midcarder and didnt even give him a credible push.Cena was actually supposed to be an average midcard heel but it was his sheer hard work and dedication that took him to where he is now.

#1 Lesnar ditched Wrestling

Being so high on Lesnar, the companyinvested a lot in the superstar in the four years he spent in his initial run. From his development to the main event run, Lesnar had all the luxuriesand all of a sudden, one day he had the idea of ditching the business that gave him everything.

Lesnar wanted to try his hand in football and demanded to be released by the company. His wish was fulfilled but he went on to fail in the sport and ended up with New Japan Pro Wrestling, thus violating his no compete clause with the WWE.

Cena has had a plethora of opportunities to leave the professional wrestling business throughout his career but chose to stick around because it is what he wanted, what he loved.

This was the love that Lesnar didnt have when he left for bigger ventures, leaving the company that did everything for him. Cena might be one of the most hated names now but no one can argue about what he did for the company and the fans while Lesnar was busy living his selfish dreams.
