5 Superstars that have nick names of wild creatures

The monster is often referred to as the ‘Black Sheep’

The Animal, The Beast and The Viper all in the same pictureIn WWE, you refer to the superstars with their nicknames or monikers rather than their actual names.Let’s say for example you want to refer to Triple H in a discussion. How often do you use the name Triple H? Barely once or twice! You go on referring to him as ‘The Game’, ‘The Cerebral Assassin’, ‘The King of Kings’ and the list goes on.Why does this happen? Don’t think too much. It’s just that the WWE commentators and co-superstars use these names way too often that you get a natural urge to use them. Some of these nicknames are really tricky and some really odd.As part of this slideshow, let us have a look at 5 superstars that were referred to with the names of wild creatures-

#5 Braun Strowman

The monster is often referred to as the ‘Black Sheep’

This monster from the Wyatt family is often referred to as the ‘Black Sheep’.

The towering giant looks totally weird with a huge body and a sheepish look on the face. He also has a very long beard that adds to his persona. This heavily built monster is very effective on the roster nowadays. He takes on everyone with dominance and is unbeaten so far.

The Wyatt family is known for doing all sorts of creepy and weird things on the roster. Erick Rowan, Luke Harper and Bray were all weird in some way or the other. This guy has a great opportunity before him and it is now his turn to use it to the fullest.

Contrary to many other superstars in WWE, he made his debut with a bang and started taking on huge names like Ambrose, Reigns to name a few. We generally use the term ‘Black Sheep’ when referring to people who are culprits in an activity, but the usage is different in Strowman’s case.

#4 Daniel Bryan

The Goat is no small animal in WWE

Did you ever know how Triple H, Steph and JBL refer to Daniel Bryan? They never call him Daniel or Bryan.

They instead use the word “Goat” to refer to the ‘Yes’ man. As far as the power couple is concerned, Daniel was a B+, goat faced player too small and good for nothing. What might have given him this name? To be frank, the name that you get doesn’t necessarily depend on any factor of your physical appearance.

Anyways, the goat is not really innocent here. This goat is very acrobatic inside the ring and has a huge fan base in the WWE. This small man from Aberdeen, Washington was born in a family in which his father was a logger and he had experienced the life in the woods.

He made it to the top only by sheer hard work, determination and self-discipline.

You know what happens when Daniel appears before the WWE universe? Probably, as Triple H said a few months back, the WWE universe would blow the roof off the arena if it had any with the ‘Yes’ chants!

#3 Randy Orton

The Viper and The Apex Predator

Calling Randy Orton as the ‘Viper’ or the ‘Apex Predator’ has been a tradition for a few years now. It just so happens at times that Randy resembles a viper snake while he was in action inside the ring.

The look on his face, setting up the RKO, the execution of the moves was just so perfect and fluid. Randy boasts of a great body and agile moves inside the ring. We have also noticed a couple of times that Randy wore T-shirts symbolising a viper snake.

One was the RKO printed shirt with an image of a viper hissing and the other was the ‘Venom in my Veins’ T-shirt in which the viper releases a huge load of venom.

The WWE commentators often use the terms, ‘The Viper is ready to strike’, ‘The Viper coiling his prey’ and something on these lines. All of this makes you visualise him as one of the famous snakes of the world, ‘The Viper’.

#2 Stone Cold

The Texas Rattle Snake

The biggest bad a** of the ‘Attitude Era’, Stone Cold Steve Austin is often referred to by the name, ‘Texas Rattle Snake’.

In addition to Orton and Jake ‘The Sanke’ Roberts, he was the other wrestler who was associated with the name of a snake. It was not that Austin carried a snake with him like Roberts did, but this was just to explain the threat posed by Austin to his opponents coupled with his in-ring ability.

He loves two things- kicking the opponents a** and drinking beer. Austin has been a very successful wrestler during the famous ‘Attitude Era’ and was one of the top ranked guys on the roster.

The heat and rivalry between Austin and Vince McMahon will always be remembered as one of the greatest acts of rebellioun angle against the boss by any wrestler in the company.

#1 The Rock

The Brahma Bull with Ronda

The name itself turns the electricity on.

Call him ‘The People’s Champ’, ‘The Brahma Bull’, ‘The Blue Chipper’, ‘The Great One’ or ‘The Most Electrifying Man in all of Entertainment’- It doesn’t matter how you refer to him!

Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson is undoubtedly one of the most versatile WWE superstars in the history of the company. He is an actor, a producer, a national level footballer and a highly acclaimed WWE superstar.

Most people called Rock as the ‘Brahma Bull’ and that is something you see on most of Rock’s WWE T Shirts. Did he make it his personal identification symbol?
