Anthony, Kanetkar progress at BWF Senior World Championships

Kochi, Sep 11 (PTI) Joy T Anthony of India got off to a flying start defeating Seneka Attanayake of Sri Lanka to enter the men's singles second round at the BWF World Senior Championships here.

The second seeded Indian, who is one of the strong favorites to win the championships in the +40 age category, underlined his supremacy with a convincing 21-6, 21-4 win over the Sri Lankan in just 16 minutes.

The former National Games champion will be up against Joost Van Den Brande of Belgium in his next match.

Former Olympian Nikhil Kanetkar also made a great start to the tournament by progressing into the next round of the men
