Rams linebacker Matthews to miss at least a month due to broken jaw
Los Angeles Rams linebacker Clay Matthews will miss at least a month after suffering a broken jaw.
The Rams' defense has not been great over the past two weeks and they are about to be short-handed.
Matthews suffered a broken jaw in Thursday's 30-29 loss to the Seattle Seahawks and needs surgery, coach Sean McVay told reporters on Friday.
It is unclear exactly when Matthews suffered the injury but it could have come on a questionable roughing-the-passer call in the waning moments of the game.
Matthews, 33, has six sacks in five games for the Rams this season.
