The two played against each other recently, with Tom’s DC winning the game. However, this is not the first time they played for opposing sides. Last year, they faced one another with young Sam featuring for CSK and Tom for Rajasthan Royals (RR). Interestingly, Tom's team has always emerged victorious against Sam’s franchise so far.
