DEVON CONWAY (NEW ZEALAND)

New Zealand's newest Test player Devon Conway became the seventh player to score a double ton on Test debut. The left-handed batsman achieved this feat against the England cricket team at Lord's. Conway smashed 22 fours and one six in his 347-ball knock.

KYLE MAYERS (WEST INDIES)

Kyle Mayers is another batsman to have scored a double century on Test debut in 2021 against Bangladesh in the World Test Championship series. Mayers made 210 runs to help the West Indies chase a massive 395-run target and win the game. He hit 20 fours and 7 sixes during his knock.

JACQUES RUDOLPH (SOUTH AFRICA)

Former South African batsman Jacques Rudolph achieved the feat of scoring a double hundred on Test debut against Bangladesh in 2003. He remained not out on 222 off 383 balls when Graeme Smith declared the Proteas first innings. Rudolph's knock comprised 29 fours and 2 sixes.

MATHEW SINCLAIR (NEW ZEALAND)

The first Kiwi player to score a double ton on Test debut was Matthew Sinclair. Sinclair played his first Test match against the West Indies in Wellington. Debutant Sinclair amassed 214 runs off 447 balls. Though he lost his wicket, New Zealand won the game by an innings and 105 runs.

BRENDON KURUPPU (SRI LANKA)

Former Sri Lankan batsman Brendon Kuruppu is the only Asian player to score a double century on Test debut. He achieved this feat against New Zealand in 1987. Kuruppu opened the innings for Sri Lanka and batted in the middle for 777 minutes and scored 201 runs in the drawn match.

LAWRENCE ROWE (WEST INDIES)

New Zealand toured West Indies to play Test cricket in 1972. The home team named debutant Lawrence Rowe in their playing XI for the first Test at Kingston. Rowe impressed in his first Test, as he scored 214 runs, hitting 19 fours and a six. Eventually, the match ended in a draw.

TIP FOSTER (ENGLAND)

England's Tip Foster was the first batsman in cricket history to register a double century on Test debut. He achieved this feat back in 1903 against Australia, scoring 287 runs. Over 100 years have passed since then, but only six players have been able to join Foster in the elite club.
