WWE is known for the variety of match types it has offered over the years. From Hell in a Cell to Elimination Chamber, WWE has given several hits. However, there are also match types we might never see again. Let's look at eight such matches.
WWE
The Buried Alive match was the specialty of The Undertaker. This match type was prevalent in an era where pretty much anything went on TV. However, with Taker retired now and WWE in the PG era, this match type might never happen again.
WWE
The first and only WeeLC match took place between Hornswoggle and El Torito. It was a match type designed for smaller wrestlers. However, with WWE’s current roster, there is no possibility of seeing this match.
WWE
Like The Undertaker, Jerry Lawler is a veteran of the Kiss my foot match. He has been a part of all two kiss my foot matches in history. However, since WWE is now focused on the wrestling side of things, such a match might never happen again.
WWE
Back in the day, First Blood matches were a common occurrence. The goal was to make your opponent bleed first. However, with WWE moving to the PG era, it might want to avoid airing such a match on TV.
WWE
This match type was mainly contested in the Attitude Era. But, since then, the product has evolved, and WWE now has a younger fan base compared to back in the day. Taking the same into account, this match might never happen again.
WWE
During the Divas era, Pillow Fights were something we saw women indulge in. However, since then, the likes of Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair have shown they can do what their male colleagues can. Women’s wrestling has evolved for good.
WWE
WWE has played host to a handful of Inferno matches, and most of them have had Kane in them. With wrestlers risking themselves and playing with fire, doing such a match live may not be the best idea today.
WWE
Another match contested in the Attitude Era, this match type was something enjoyed by the audience of that time. With the goal of this match being to rip off the opponent's gown, like the bra and panties match, this too will be history.
