Beginning of MLB career

Bonds is the son of another great MLB player Bobby Bonds. He attended Arizona State University and was named to All-Time College World Series Team in 1986.

He made his debut with Pittsburgh Pirates in 1986 and continued to play with them till 1992.

During this time he was on the All-Star team twice & was awarded the Gold Glove thrice. He was also the NL MVP twice during his time with the Pirates.

Bonds breaking Records

Bonds became a free agent in 1992 and signed up with San Francisco Giants for $43.75 million. 

Bonds wins the MVP title for the seventh time in 1990. In 2001, he broke Mark McGwire's season record with his 71st home run.

After BALCO scandal broke out

The news about the BALCO scandal broke out in 2002. Chief accused was Barry Bonds, then SF Giants star.

Bonds testified in 2003 in front of a federal grand jury about the BALCO investigation. Greg Anderson, his personal trainer, also testified for Bonds.

News about his consumption of steroid get proven in 2004-05 and then in 2007, Barry Bonds hits his 762 home run.

In 2011, the Jury found Barry Bonds guilty and Bonds is unable to make it to the Hall of Fame even at his 10th turn in 2022.
