Earlier in the year, Cooper Noriega, a TikTok star, was found dead in a mall parking lot in Burbank, California.
The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner has determined that the cause of death was a fatal combination of opioid and anxiety medications.
The LA County Coroner officially reported that the death of Cooper Noriega was an accident due to the "combined effects of Alprazolam, Fentanyl and Lorazepam."
Two of the three substances found were used to treat anxiety and panic disorders.
It is not confirmed yet whether Cooper Noriega was prescribed any of the medications found in his system.
Cooper Noriega, the TikTok star, had previously acknowledged he had struggled with addiction since the age of 9.
On June 5, 2022, Cooper Noriega made an Instagram post where he announced his intentions to start a discord page which focuses solely on mental health issues.
He was aiming to spread awareness and destigmatize mental illnesses.
