Andre the Giant holds the record for the shortest WWE Championship reign. The ‘Eighth Wonder of the World’ beat Hogan for the title in 1988. He then immediately forfeited the title to Ted DiBiase Sr.

Daniel Bryan defeated John Cena to win the WWE title at SummerSlam 2013. Randy Orton cashed in his briefcase after the match. The Viper ended Bryan’s title reign five minutes after he had won it.
