Leading Bollywood actress Neetu Chandra is a fairly well-known figure in her field. But interestingly enough, she is also an avid sports enthusiast. She has had ties with the NBA and she even has a fourth Dan black belt in Taekwondo. In 1997, she even represented India at the World Taekwondo Championships in Hong Kong.

The actress has been trained in Taekwondo for over 15 years. In a previous interview, she was quoted as saying, "Taekwondo has taught me to treat my mind and body as one block. I hope more people in our country take it up."

In June this year, she went to Korea for the World Taekwondo Championships to showcase her martial arts prowess. She will also be representing India at the Kukkiwon Taekwondo Championships in December. In her upcoming film Ladaaku, she is even utilising her skills in martial arts to train for her role.

She visited the US in early April for a month-long advanced rigorous training regimen. Ladaaku is touted as India’s first woman-oriented out-and-out action flick. It will be taekwondo-heavy and will see Neetu doing a number of action scenes, something which no Bollywood actress may have attempted on screen before. Surely enough, Chandra's background in the sport will be a big plus for her.

Neetu's big Bollywood break came in 2005's Garam Masala. Since then, she has appeared in a handful of Bollywood movies. She has also acted in a few Telugu and Tamil movies. In 2013, she even forayed into foreign cinema with the Greek movie Block 12.

Her Bollywood resume includes the like of Garam Masala, Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye!, Mumbai Cutting, Apartment, Kucch Luv Jaisa and a special appearance in the Tamil version of Singham 3. Now, she is preparing for Ladaaku, her upcoming project.
