Perth Scorchers 2020/21 squad - Players to watch out

#1. Mitchell Marsh

The Australian all-rounder has played close to 93 T20 games scoring close to 2000 runs and nearly 50 wickets averaging about 30 with both bat and ball. He will be leading the Scorchers for their third consecutive season and will have a responsibility to take PS back to their peak years. The 29-year-old will be coming off an injury that he sustained in the recently-concluded IPL 2020 season in the UAE.

#2. Jason Roy

One of England’s most aggressive openers, Jason Roy, will like to bat on the pitch on offer at the new home ground of the Perth Scorchers. Perth has always had excellent batting tracks and the inclusion of Jason Roy in their squad gives them a huge boost ahead of BBL 2020-21. He brings in an experience of over 200 T20 games and 5556 runs.

#3. Andrew Tye

AJ Tye has an excellent variety of deliveries in his arsenal. His knuckle ball was a big hit in the IPL a couple of years back. Tye has picked the fifth-most wickets in BBL history with 72 scalps in his kitty. In 52 games, he averages under 20 with the ball and has an economy rate of just 7.52. The Scorchers will rely heavily on him to delivery in the upcoming edition of the Big Bash League.

#4. Colin Munro

The hard-hitting New Zealand opener Colin Munro might be the X-factor player for the men in Orange this year. He has some exceptional big-hitting abilities and the BBL is just about that. The South African-born cricketer has played 270 T20 games and scored over 6500 runs in his decade-long career at a strike rate of 144.32.

#5. Liam Livingstone

Liam Livingstone was the highest run-getter for the Perth Scorchers in BBL 2019-20, which was his first stint with the Perth-based franchise. He scored 425 runs in the previous edition, which is the most number of runs scored in a single season by a Scorchers batsman. The batting all-rounder from England will be itching to wear the Orange jersey again and raise his standards in the tournament.
