Washington - Third seed Petra Kvitova was eliminated by wildcard Virginie Razzano 7-6(6), 5-7, 6-7(8) in the Southern California Open quarterfinal.

The match, which lasted three hours and 35 minutes, was the second longest WTA match of the year, reports Xinhua.

“I was nervous. I’m human. I’m not a robot. Sometimes you feel stress. I tried to focus on the points,” said the 131-ranked Razzano Friday.

Razzano will next encounter Agnieszka Radwanska of Poland.
