Megan Jovon Ruth Pete, professionally known as Megan Thee Stallion, born in San Antonio, Texas, is an American rapper, songwriter, and TikToker. She was born on February 15, 1995, and gained attention when videos of her freestyling became popular on social media platforms such as Instagram. She signed with 300 Entertainment in 2018, where she released her debut commercial mixtape Fever (2019) and the extended play Suga (2020), which topped Billboard charts in America.
While she was born in San Antonio, her family moved to Texas right after her birth. Her mother, Holly Thomas, was also a rapper who performed under the stage name "Hollywood" and would bring her daughter to recording sessions instead of daycare.
