Fiona Bergson posted an image of pastry chef Francois Delaire, on Instagram in May 2023, with a romantic caption suggesting that she has moved on from her relationship with Amaury Guichon. The couple later came out public about their split.
Amaury Guichon, born 15 March 1991, is a Swiss-French pastry chef, known for his pastry designs and chocolate sculptures. After his training, Guichon was hired to run the Lenôtre boutique and school back in Cannes. He later returned to Paris to work as an executive pastry chef at the Hugo & Victor pâtisserie and chocolate shop; he reached the level of executive chef by the age of 21.
Guichon was a contestant on the France 2 reality cooking series “Who will be the next best pastry chef?” in 2013. Guichon placed third in the competition. He moved to the United States in 2014 after getting an invitation from Jean-Philippe Maury to work at the Las Vegas branch of his Pâtisserie, with shops in the Aria Resort and Casino and Bellagio.
He worked as a private consultant and conducted masterclasses, leading Guichon to eventually co-found the Pastry Academy with Belgian chef Michel Ernots in the city of Las Vegas in 2019. In 2016, Guichon began to post his desserts and chocolate creations on social media. He has gained over 24.3 million followers on TikTok and over 15.5 million on Instagram.
Guichon's debut dessert cooking book The Art of Flavor was published on 13 December 2018. It was announced in August 2021 that Guichon would host School of Chocolate on Netflix, a competition in which contestants construct chocolate sculptures with Guichon both guiding them and judging the final result. The 8-episode reality series premiered on the platform internationally on 26 November 2021.
Fiona Bergson was born on the 1st of April 1995 and is currently 29 years young. She was born and raised in Canada by her parents, whose names and identities are not publicly disclosed. Like her famous husband, she also has an interest in baking and is also the director of International Operations for Amaury Guichon’s Pastry Academy in Las Vegas, which means she’s effectively his boss. She also serves as his manager.
She said in an interview, “Combination of frustrations, overcoming problems and hours of studying professionals and still I am nowhere near as I would like to but who knows… maybe one day.” Fiona shared that she had to multitask, abandon procrastination, and give up her social life for four years. “There is 25% of instinct in every decision I have to make,” she added. “So don’t neglect your instinct. And most importantly, surround yourself with people you believe in and believe in yourself.”
She is also the proprietor of Imperial Tattoo Connexion in Montreal. Her passion for tattoos is evident in the number of tattoos that she has. Fiona is also a freelance photographer. She frequently snaps Amaury preparing chocolate and the couple also regularly travel together, which includes their latest trip to a Thailand zoo. They have already made preparations to return next summer. She, like her husband, is also fond of traveling and travels with him when he needs to shoot abroad. Fiona started tattooing people as a teenager and at the age of 21, she opened her tattoo parlor in Montreal, Canada. Bergson has plenty of tattoos, but Amaury has none. Fiona’s career is still the main priority for her. She shared on Instagram that she doesn’t intend to have a child anytime soon: “It’s going to sound like a statement, but for those who think alike and like me are more career-oriented I want them to know that they are not alone. We are constantly undermined by society’s inability to separate women and motherhood, but that doesn’t mean we do not have the choice/or are in the wrong.”
Fiona Bergson provides insights into her relationship with Amaury via her Instagram stories. She revealed that the couple began sharing messages over a few months. They met, became fast friends, and eventually started a relationship. Fiona described it as love at first sight. The couple had a ‘Covid wedding’ – a ceremony with few guests to minimize the chances of coronavirus spread – in December 2020. Fiona wrote on Instagram that the couple intend to have a bigger ceremony:
