10 Behind-the-scenes photos you need to see from past Wrestlemanias

WrestleMania is always electric, externally and internally.
WrestleMania is always electric, externally and internally.

WrestleMania 36 will be broadcasted this weekend after it was taped in advance due to the emerging effect that the coronavirus pandemic is having on the United States and the entire planet as a whole. With the reports that have emerged surrounding the Performance Center show, the backstage area may have been very busy throughout the tapings.

This is no different from WrestleManias of the past, although the others will have likely had much higher spirits behind the scenes. The past decade of the 'Showcase of the Immortals' has seen some great editions and some average editions, but the one constant was the grand setting surrounding the event. That was evidenced by mega-stars, both past, and present.

WWE has released a gallery of 100 backstage shots from every WrestleMania of the 2010s on its website. They range from chaotic to emotional, showcasing the unique nature of how WWE operates behind the scenes of their biggest show of the year.

Here are 10 of the most interesting backstage photos from the past decade of WrestleMania, with a little context provided for each of them.

#10 One down, one to go

It is no secret that Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch have been together for over a year, with the couple being engaged in August. It must be noted how similar their paths to the top were in 2019, with both of them winning their respective Royal Rumble matches and eventually winning the top title at WrestleMania 35.

The above picture is one you may have seen before, as Rollins shared a moment with Lynch right after his show-opening Universal Championship victory over Brock Lesnar. A few hours after this, The Man would headline the show and bring home more gold, the RAW and SmackDown Women's Championships.

#9 The New Day's grand entrance

WrestleMania is all about being larger than life. It is above the ordinary and the WWE Universe should expect the unexpected. This goes for some of the Superstar's entrances as well, with some of them being really special and aesthetically pleasing.

At WrestleMania 32, The New Day's arrival involved a giant box of Booty-O's cereal. The above picture shows the amount of manpower required to get this structure ready for the then-WWE Tag Team Champions to enter the stadium through it.

#8 Here comes the Big Dog

Roman Reigns is one of WWE's locker room leaders and is well-liked by his peers across the board. He also seems like a really nice guy, thanks to his cheerful personality, infectious positivity, and selfless nature.

This picture shows the Big Dog driving one of WWE's backstage carts, as Bobby Lashley and Lio Rush are chilling on the side. These carts would come in very handy for transporting around the enormous and chaotic WrestleMania backstage area.

#7 One last ride

The Ultimate Warrior was not in WWE's good books for a really long time, but he did get to return to the company. Warrior headlined the 2014 WWE Hall of Fame, with the entire WrestleMania 30 weekend serving as vindication for him, as well as his last big family vacation.

Here, he is pictured speaking with Batista. On the WWE 24 documentary about this event, you will have seen him speak to Daniel Bryan and Cody Rhodes as well. Warrior tragically passed away one day after his promo on the RAW after 'Mania, but least he was able to get some closure with WWE.

#6 You can't see it, but you can smell it

The Rock and John Cena bump fists.

John Cena and The Rock have had quite the WrestleMania history together, feuding from 'Manias 27 through 29. But they did share the (Grandest) stage one more time. At WrestleMania 32, an injured Cena made a one-night return to help The Rock vanquish the Wyatt Family.

In the above picture, the two Hollywood stars shared a fist bump after taking care of Bray Wyatt, Erick Rowan, and Braun Strowman. The booking of the segment may have been counterproductive, but you cannot doubt the electricity among the record-breaking AT&T Stadium crowd that night.

#5 Post-heist scenes

WrestleMania 31 may be viewed as the last classic 'Mania, with the main reason being the incredible ending to the show. Seth Rollins interrupted a very good main event between Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns, to cash in his Money in the Bank contract and win the WWE Championship.

After completing the "heist of the century", an emotional Rollins was subject to many congratulations backstage. The pick of the bunch came from Triple H, who was his on-screen mentor. The above picture shows the two biggest stars of The Authority hugging after that crazy moment.

#4 The Deadman cometh

The Undertaker is ready for battle.

When you speak about WrestleMania, it is hard not to bring up The Undertaker. His name is synonymous with the Show of Shows, thanks to 'The Streak'. The Deadman won 21 consecutive matches at WrestleMania, having a good number of classics among them.

And while 'Taker has not had the best run after his streak ended at the hands of Brock Lesnar, he is still a big part of WrestleMania. In this picture, he is ready to go out and wow the WWE Universe with another one of his iconic 'Mania entrances, before facing Shane McMahon inside Hell in a Cell.

#3 Friends now, opponents later

After years of hurt, disappointment and hard work, Daniel Bryan was finally cleared by WWE doctors and made his in-ring return at WrestleMania 34. It was lovely to see him be able to do what he loves so much, once again. Bryan teamed with Shane McMahon to take on Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn.

While they were extremely heated rivals for 'Mania, Daniel Bryan is friends with Owens and Zayn. Here he is, pictured with his opponents before tearing into each other later on. The two former NXT Champions will have been honored to be a part of such an emotional moment for Bryan.

#2 Bryan, Brie and Birdie

One year after his triumphant return from retirement, Daniel Bryan became the most hated man at WrestleMania. He played the role of the heel WWE Champion superbly, putting over Kofi Kingston at the Show of Shows. This capped off a successful return year for the world's toughest vegan.

Despite being an on-screen villain, Bryan is extremely likable in real-life. In the above picture, he is enjoying a little moment with his wife, Brie Bella, and daughter, Birdie Joe Danielson, at WrestleMania 35. This is just a lovely shot, seeing how happy Bryan and his family are.

Also, it is wonderful that Birdie is able to watch her father wrestle live.

#1 KofiMania

Speaking of Daniel Bryan vs Kofi Kingston at WrestleMania 35, WWE's cameras were able to capture some of the scenes following the Ghanaian's emotional WWE Championship victory. In this picture, Kingston is huddled with his New Day brothers, Xavier Woods and Big E, after winning the title. Oh, and Titus O'Neil is in the background.

Woods was clearly overcome with emotion, with him saying on many occasions that his goal in WWE was to ensure that Kofi Kingston becomes the WWE Champion. That goal was accomplished on this night, making for one of the greatest WrestleMania moments of all-time. He and Big E played their parts superbly throughout the entire KofiMania storyline.

This shot also captures the brotherly love shared between all three members of the New Day, the calm after the storm. Kingston, Woods and Big E are really close and share tremendous chemistry with each other, making the New Day one of the greatest tag teams in WWE history. And this was their greatest ever moment to date.
