Brock Lesnar is a legend in the world of professional wrestling and WWE. He is a living manifestation of strength and determination. The farm-loving South Dakota native has many awards to his name, both in UFC and WWE. He is a private person and does not like public glare.

Here are 10 facts which you probably did not know about him:

#1. Nicknames

Brock Lesnar’s popular nickname in WWE is “The Beast Incarnate.” He is a 6-foot-3 and over 300 pounds in weight which makes his nickname apt for him. His other nicknames are “The Conqueror,” “The Next Big Thing,” “The One in 22-1,” and “The Night Mayor of Suplex City.”

When he was a kid, one of his friends called him "Broccoli". “I used to call him Broccoli.’” Lesnar’s childhood friend, Justin Gaikowski, said in an interview.

#2. Political opinion

Lesnar is highly secretive but has never shied away from voicing his political opinion. He is a conservative and supporter of the Republican Party. Lesnar has been critical of the Canadian healthcare system when he was battling diverticulitis. He has strong views about President Barack Obama and Obamacare.

#3. Defeated Akebono

Akebono is one of the heaviest and tallest sumo wrestlers ever. He defeated Big Show in WrestleMania 21. Lesnar and Akebono fought a year after WrestleMania 21 on 19th March 2006 in which Lesnar emerged victorious against the 500-pound man.

#4. Colorblind

Color blindness affects approximately 8% of men. Lesnar is red-green color-blind, so he cannot distinguish between red and green. It also hampers the way he sees the entire color spectrum.

It does not affect his athletic performance, but he could not join the military due to this reason.

#5. Married to Sable

Lesnar married former WWE women’s champion, Reena Greek aka “Sable” in 2006. Both were at the zenith of their profession when they began dating. Together, they have two kids, Duke and Turk.

Sable also featured as a playmate in Playboy.

#6. Suffered from diverticulitis

Lesnar contracted diverticulitis which caused him intense pain. This disease occurs when tiny pouches form on a person’s colon and it causes all types of serious complications with the digestive system.

He had to retire from MMA early in order to get treated. If left untreated the disease could have taken his life.

#7. Loves to hunt

Brock loves hunting and is an active member of the National Rifle Association. He was caught for violating three counts of the Alberta Fish and Wildlife Act while hunting a mule deer in Canada. They fined him for $1,725 and was banned for six months of hunting.

#8. Tattoo Lover

Lesnar loves to sport tattoos. He has a massive tattoo of a sword across his entire chest. When asked about the meaning, he said: “The tattoo on my chest has so much meaning to me. In some ways, it’s funny, because the period of my life that I’m talking about is a time I so want to forget, but I know I can use this memory as motivation.”

#9. Aspired to be in the military

Brock wanted to join the military when he was a teenager. He wanted to work with hazardous materials. Lesnar enlisted himself in the Army National Guard when he was 17. Due to his color blindness, he was assigned an office job which he did not like. Later, he left the job and began wrestling.

#10. UFC heavyweight champion

Lesnar made his UFC debut in 2008 where he defeated Randy Couture to win the UFC heavyweight title at UFC 91. They criticized him for getting an early title shot, but he proved them wrong by winning the title by technical knockout.
