#10 Kevin Owens vs Shane McMahon (Hell In A Cell 2017)

Kevin Owens faced Shane McMahon in a Falls Count Anywhere Hell In A Cell match. Shane struck Kevin Owens outside the cage and started the match in full control even after they entered the cage. He delivered a Coast-to-Coast to Kevin Owens through the steel bin. Shane McMahon unlocked the cage, and the action continued outside.

Both of them climbed on top of the steel cage and battled there for a few minutes. Owens delivered a Popup Powerbomb to Shane on the roof of the cage. As they were descending, Shane McMahon threw Kevin Owens, who fell through the announce table.

Shane McMahon set Kevin Owens on the second announce table and rose on top of the cage. He went for a Leap of Faith, but Sami Zayn managed to pull Owens out of harm's way, and McMahon fell through the announce table. Zayn put Owens on top of Shane McMahon for the pin and won the match. It was a surprising end to the event as Sami Zayn turned heel.

#9 Kane vs. The Undertaker (with Paul Bearer) (Hell In A Cell 2010)

Kane defended his World Heavyweight Championship against The Undertaker, which was the main event. The late Paul Bearer accompanied The Phenom. This match had a lot of near falls. Taker chokeslammed Kane for a near fall and vice versa. Kane attacked The Phenom with a chair on multiple occasions. This match was not very brutal but was exciting because of the storytelling.

Paul Bearer entered the ring to distract Kane, and was chokeslammed by The Deadman again. When Taker was about to deliver a Tombstone Piledriver to Kane, Paul Bearer used the light coming from the urn to blindside Taker and thus helped Kane retain his World Heavyweight Title.

#8 CM Punk vs. Ryback ( Hell In A Cell 2012)

CM Punk was the WWE Champion heading into the match against Ryback in Hell In A Cell. Ryback took charge of the match early on, and continued bullying CM Punk until he used a fire extinguisher, which was underneath the ring and blindsided Ryback. Punk tried everything to put Ryback down, but he proved too strong for Punk. Ryback regained the momentum and was about to deliver a Shell Shock, but was given a low blow by the referee Brad Maddox. CM Punk pinned Ryback and won the match. After the match, Ryback brutalized Brad Maddox. He went after Punk, who climbed on top of the steel cage to escape from Ryback. The show ended with Ryback delivering a Shell Shock to CM Punk on top of the steel cage.

#7 Daniel Bryan vs. Randy Orton ( Hell In A Cell 2013)

Daniel Bryan was feuding with Randy Orton for months for the WWE Championship. The WWE Universe voted Shawn Michaels as the special guest referee for the vacant WWE Championship. The two gifted athletes were at it from the first minute. Both of them used chairs on each other. Triple H tried his best to distract the special guest referee Shawn Michaels. Orton attempted an RKO on Bryan, but Bryan countered, knocking Shawn Michaels out in the process.

Triple H entered the ring to check on Shawn Michaels and fell prey to a Running Knee by Daniel Bryan. Seeing Triple H on the mat, Shawn Michaels delivered a Sweet Chin Music to Daniel Bryan. Orton pinned Bryan for the win and became the WWE Champion.

#6 John Cena vs. Randy Orton ( Hell In A Cell 2014)

John Cena and Randy Orton have been part of some extraordinary matches together in the last decade. The match was to determine the number one contender for the WWE Heavyweight Championship. It had numerous near falls. Orton delivered an RKO to Cena, but it ended in a near fall. One outstanding moment of the event was Orton reversing an Attitude Adjustment into an RKO to Cena. Cena somehow managed to kick out again. The battle ended when Cena delivered a Super Attitude Adjustment to Orton through the table. John Cena became the number one contender for the WWE Heavyweight Championship. This match was the longest match of the night.

#5 John Cena vs. CM Punk vs. Alberto Del Rio ( Hell In A Cell 2011)

John Cena was the defending the WWE Champion heading into the match. It was a fascinating contest between the three superstars. Cena and Punk were babyfaces, and the only heel in the match was Alberto Del Rio. Cena applied STF on Alberto and was on the brink of tapping out, but Ricardo Rodriguez opened the cell and threw a lead pipe at Del Rio and managed to escape Cena's hold. Cena delivered an Attitude Adjustment to Ricardo and in the process, got pushed by Del Rio outside the cage.

Del Rio locked the cage from inside and won the match by pinning CM Punk. After the match, Cena entered the cell and beat Del Rio. Also, The Miz and R-Truth assaulted all the three wrestlers. Triple H came to the ring and struck The Miz, and R-Truth, and had to be separated by the security.

#4 Seth Rollins vs. Dean Ambrose ( Hell In A Cell 2014)

Dean Ambrose walked down the ramp and waited for Seth Rollins on top of the cage with a kendo stick. Joey Mercury and Jamie Noble accompanied Seth Rollins. Rollins ordered them to climb on top of the cage and attack Ambrose. Ambrose started assaulting both of them, and Rollins joined them on top. Rollins started descending but was caught by Ambrose, which resulted in both of them falling through the announce table. The match continued inside the ring, and as Dean Ambrose was about to Kurb Stomp Rollins on the bricks, Bray Wyatt appeared out of nowhere and delivered a Sister Abigail to Ambrose. Rollins pinned Ambrose and won the match.

#3 Sasha Banks vs. Charlotte ( Hell In A Cell 2016)

It was a historic match as it was the first ever Women's Hell In A Cell match. Sasha Banks defended her WWE Women's Championship against Charlotte Flair. It turned out to be an incredible encounter. The two women gave everything they had to win the match. The match had a lot of brutal moments. Charlotte powerbombed Sasha through the announce table outside the cage. Sasha Banks got her revenge when she threw Charlotte through a table.

In the end, it was Charlotte who pinned Sasha Banks to win the Women's Championship. After a breathtaking first ever Women's Hell In A Cell match, it was a surprise that the WWE Universe did not see another Women's Hell In A Cell match at last year's pay-per-view. This year, Charlotte might face Becky Lynch in a Hell In A Cell match.

#2 DX vs. The Legacy ( Hell In A Cell 2009)

The Legacy had a great opportunity to make a name for themselves by defeating DX

It was the first Hell In A Cell pay-per-view event. The main event saw D- Generation X against The Legacy (Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase) in a Hell In A Cell match. All four wrestlers started brawling outside the cage for a few minutes. This match had great storytelling. Ted DiBiase managed to throw Triple H outside the cell and locked it from inside, leaving his partner Shawn Michaels to fend for himself. Triple H tried to open the unlock the cage but was unsuccessful. Triple H left the ring, leaving Shawn Michaels inside the cage with Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase. Triple H returned to the ring with pliers and unlocked the cage. The tables turned when The Game threw Ted DiBiase outside the cage and locked it from inside. The match ended with a combination of Sweet Chin Music and a sledgehammer to the skull of Cody Rhodes by HBK and The Game respectively.

A perfect conclusion to the epic feud between Brock Lesnar and The Undertaker took place inside a Hell In A Cell match in 2015. It was a bloody encounter which reminded the WWE Universe of the Attitude Era. Brock Lesnar won the match and their feud, by delivering a low blow and three F-5's on the exposed ring floor. That was not all. After a memorable and a bloody contest, The Wyatt Family appeared and carried The Deadman away. An unexpected finish to an outstanding Hell In A Cell pay-per-view.

Let us hope that the WWE Universe would be able to witness more brutal matches with great storytelling on September 16, 2018, at this year's Hell In A Cell pay-per-view.
