10 Wrestlers WWE must sign ASAP

New Japan's Kenny Omega

These athletes are the talk of the wrestling world, and WWE should acquire them at all costs.

Professional wrestling is entering a new golden age. Just as when television ushered in a new appreciation and proliferation of sports entertainment, the internet has transformed the way people watch, share, and enjoy wrestling.

Pro wrestling has grown so hot that there seems to be a new wrestling war brewing. Competition between the industry leader, the WWE, and other promotions has seen an uptick. Always a smart operation, WWE has sought to acquire many of the most talked about wrestling stars on the planet, men like Keith Lee and Adam Cole. Clearly the WWE is all in on staying competitive and ahead of the competition.

However, there are some wrestling stars that transcend the norm to the nth degree, taking on legendary or even deific proportions. These men and women push not only themselves to the limit, but professional wrestling itself as well.

Here are ten wrestlers the WWE should acquire as soon as possible.

1.WALTER - currently signed with PWG

<p>

Massive but quick, unorthodox and yet highly polished, WALTER is a man of contradictions. Known for his massive chops that send ripples of flesh rolling over his opponent's chests, WALTER brings a unique look and presence to the events he wrestles at.

The current PWG champion has been praised for his ring work, and put on one of the best matches of last year against Zach Sabre Jr.

Why WWE needs him: Undertaker is all but completely retired, Samoa Joe is in the waning years of his career, and Braun Strowman is still green. In short, WWE needs a big man who can compete in main event calibre matches, and that man is WALTER.

2. Dalton Castle

<p>

Despite the fact that his first ROH world title reign was marred by a serious back injury, Castle remains wildly popular among the ROH base. No doubt this is because of his nigh perfect background prior to becoming a wrestler; Castle was a champion greco roman amateur wrestler and a former radio DJ. He knows how to perform, and has all the fundamentals and athletic ability you could ask for in a world champion wrestler.

Castle may not be able to use his over the top homosexual persona in WWE, but no matter what the script we're betting Castle could make it entertaining.

Why WWE needs him: Castle is pound for pound one of the best wrestlers on the planet, capable of holding his own with men like Jay Lethal or Adam Cole. And even when his wrestling days are done, his top-tier charisma would make him an excellent announcer or manager.

3. The Villain Marty Scurll

<p>

Marty Scurll brings not only top-tier wrestling ability to the sport, he also has panache and style that is impossible to fake. With a well-thought out character and gimmick and one of the most unique looks in wrestling history, he would probably be a bigger star if not for the fact of how brightly his bullet club chums shine.

Why WWE needs him: Scurrl could bring style and attention to the 205 Live brand that is sorely missing. Unlike Enzo Amore, Scurll doesn't infuriate his co-workers or the fans, for that matter.

4. Killer Elite Squad

<p>

David Smith Jr. and Lance Archer are no wide-eyed newbies: They are seasoned veterans with tons of big match and televised event experience. When the two joined forces in Japan as the Killer Elite Squad they made waves for both their devastating offence and insane athletic ability.

Why WWE needs them: Hart is a former WWE employee, as is Archer. They already know WWE style, and can revitalize the flagging tag team division on either brand with their mere presence.

5. Tessa Blanchard

<p>

Actually, we're surprised WWE hasn't already signed Blanchard. With her second generation pedigree, outrageous technical ability, and stunning good looks she seems a perfect fit in a division that includes Charlotte Flair and Ember Moon.

For the time being, Tessa is dominating the Knockouts division on Impact wrestling, but contracts are always temporary.

Why WWE needs her: If WWE truly wants to grow the women's division to the point it can stand on its own--which they have indicated is their goal--then they will need a roster stacked with the best talent in the world. Tessa Blanchard is such a talent.

6. Pentagon Jr.

<p>

Not since Blue Demon has a masked Lucha Libre star inspired such terror, envy, and admiration. Pentagon has a fantastic look and character, and when it comes to the technical ability he is regarded as one of the top talents in the entire world.

Why WWE needs him: The Latin American market for pro wrestling is huge, and it always helps when they see themselves represented on screen. Pentagon could drop into 205 :Live, NXT, or either of the 'main brands' of Smackdown and Raw and be an instant sensation.

7. The Young Bucks

<p>

It's always a superkick party when the world's two most successful independent wrestlers come to town. Matt and Nick Jackson have not only turned in fantastic performances, night after night, but they have actually forced pro wrestling as an entity to evolve just to keep up with them.

Why WWE needs them: The tag division is an afterthought in WWE, and what better way to revitalize it and bring it back to relevance than by hiring the best tag team in the world?

8. Brian Cage

<p>

Brian Cage reminds us of Brock Lesnar circa 2003. He's an impressively built man who still possesses speed and agility. His physique ranks right up there with John Cena and the aforementioned Lesnar, and he is still young enough to have a long career.

Why WWE needs him: Cage is a sensation who has boosted Impact's stature among fans and critics alike. If WWE can acquire him, he could be the next Rock.

9. Dragon Lee

<p>

Young, crazy, and absolutely thrilling, Dragon Lee is everything you like about lucha libre turned up to eleven.

If his Lanza doesn't get you, the Dragon Driver will. Loaded up with real-world combat experience, Lee isn't afraid to throw punches and kicks either.

Why WWE needs him: The 205 Live roster seems a likely spot for him to land, but imagine if he went to Smackdown and worked a program with AJ Styles. Lee is a young, hot prospect with a long and bright career ahead of him, and WWE should get him while he's still available.

10. Kenny Omega

<p>

The most talked about wrestler on the internet is probably Omega. Every time he so much as breathes, it seems like people are tweeting about it, and for good reason. Kenny Omega might just be the best wrestler in the world today.

Why the WWE needs him: The WWE has been putting a lot of effort into listening to their fans lately when it comes to hires. That's how we ended up with AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura on the WWE roster. The fans around the world are practically begging for Omega to make his WWE debut.

There you have it: Ten talented wrestlers the WWE must sign ASAP. Who would you like to see in the WWE? Please comment and let us know.
