10 WWE feuds we are dying to see

Give us what we want, Vince

For all of the complaints and pet peeves we have when it comes to WWE, they always manage to throw out some dream matches that the WWE Universe didn’t even know they wanted. From tag team bouts to the men and the women, there’s a string of big time feuds still out there just waiting to be taken advantage of by Vinnie Mac.

Now some of the matches we’re about to list have already happened, but not on the scale of a full-length rivalry. Because of that, we want to see these competitors prolong their feuds to keep us satisfied. Failing that, we’d quite enjoy one or two big time matches on pay per view.

A few of these will be considered ‘obvious’, but others will feel as fresh as a daisy. Whatever the case may be, they can all succeed where it matters most, and that’s in the department of giving the fans an experience they’ll never forget. Honestly, some of these matches would be talked about for years and years to come. We hope.

So with all of that being said, here are 10 WWE feuds we’re dying to see.

#1 Cesaro vs. Brock Lesnar

The definition of alpha males

The strongest man in all of WWE vs. the Beast Incarnate. What could possibly go wrong? When the King of Swing first aligned himself with Paul Heyman following WrestleMania 30, fans were foaming at the mouth over the prospect of the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal winner going head to head with the man who had just broken the streak.

Unfortunately, things didn’t materialise in that fashion, and while Brock went on to superstardom, Cesaro lingered in the midcard – where he remains. It’s a feud that needs to happen, mainly because we want to see Cesaro throw Brock around like he was a cruiserweight. It’s an unlikely scenario at present, but we’re choosing to remain hopeful.

#2 Charlotte vs. Alexa Bliss

Raw’s old queen vs SmackDown’s old leader

Following last summer’s draft, Charlotte Flair quickly established herself as the dominant female force over on Monday Night Raw. It was a predictable position for the company to put her in, but it was also one that she had earned. Within months, she had arguably turned herself into the most polished female wrestler in WWE history – and that’s a fact.

Meanwhile over on SmackDown Live, Alexa Bliss surprised the world by becoming the leader of the blue brand’s female division. These two women have been seemingly kept apart ever since their days together down in NXT, and it’s about time that we saw a clash of the titans.

#3 Roman Reigns vs. Goldberg

Who is the true master of the spear?

Way back when Goldberg was competing in the Royal Rumble match, fans were querying as to whether or not there would be a new opponent for the soon to be Universal Champion at WrestleMania. There was one name being thrown around above all others, and it actually sounded like a good idea at the time: and that was Roman Reigns. Goldberg too teased a return to wrestling in a recent photo:

These two men had been criticised for similar reasons over the years, while equally being praised for their work too. When they squared off on Monday Night Raw at the start of the year, it felt like a feud that just needed to happen, and with Goldberg teasing another return we’re holding out hope that it could be turned into a reality. SummerSlam would be lit if this comes to fruition!

#4 Finn Balor vs. Bray Wyatt

A clash of epic proportions – literally

The Demon King vs. The Eater of Worlds. It’s a feud so obvious that we’ve kind of seen the seeds being planted for it already, with Wyatt going after Balor a few weeks back. Unfortunately, it seems to have been shelved for the time being, potentially until SummerSlam, but that hasn’t stopped us from fantasy booking the entire thing from head to toe.

Bray could spend the better part of six weeks attempting to draw the demon out of the shadows, with Finn refusing to allow himself to go into that dark place. Then, as the biggest party of the summer descends upon us, the Irishman awakens his inner spirit to jostle with the man that was once believed to be the next Undertaker.

#5 Neville vs. Cedric Alexander

Can Cedric dethrone the king?

Neville is the King of the Cruiserweights, and with that power comes great responsibility. The Englishman has been carrying the purple division on his back ever since the Royal Rumble, and his reign atop 205 Live shows no signs of slowing down – that is until Cedric Alexander shows the world what a great babyface he can be.

Cedric is young, full of energy and has more than enough talent to hang with Neville in a 15-20 minute match. If you build Cedric up as the hero returning from injury, then you could create some great chemistry with the overly confident Neville, potentially leading to Alexander dethroning the seemingly unbeaten champion at SummerSlam.

#6 Bayley vs. Sasha Banks

Bayley vs Banks III = money

Yes, yes, we know – it seems almost impossible at this stage to imagine them improving upon their NXT feud. The thing is, they don’t even need to try and do that: they just need to keep things as natural as possible to get the best possible outcome from this. If these two focus on re-building a new story, based more on their broken friendship, then we could be onto a winner here.

Sasha is the natural heel in this relationship, and Bayley needs someone to take her down a few pegs because the underdog that we all knew and loved has well and truly gone. Bayley wouldn’t be ruled out of this match like she was at Takeover: Brooklyn, because she’s got something that Banks hasn’t – a big time WrestleMania victory.

#7 AJ Styles vs. Shinsuke Nakamura

Six stars guaranteed

AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura squared off in what was one of their final big time matches over in Japan before coming over to WWE. So then, why not mark Nakamura's first WrestleMania with a bout against the man who is considered to be the best wrestler on the planet.

This has already been teased on SmackDown Live over the last few weeks, but we’re desperately hoping that they hold off on this until the Showcase of the Immortals. It just feels right to wait until this can happen on a bigger stage because telling the story of two superheroes going at it deserves that kind of spotlight.

#8 The Hardy Boyz vs. The Revival

Can The Hardyz outwork The Revival?

The Hardy Boyz’ return to WWE hasn’t gone exactly as planned, despite the two men having a series of strong matches ever since their appearance at WrestleMania 33. A lot of fans are hoping to see the Broken version of Matt's character; meanwhile, others want to see Jeff break out as the singles star he once was.

Whichever camp you fall into, one thing is for sure – they need to have a program with The Revival before they break up. Dash & Dawson represent the complete opposite of Matt & Jeff when it comes to tag team wrestling, and seeing how those two styles mesh together will make for some truly fascinating viewing.

#9 American Alpha vs. The New Day

Alpha need to find relevancy once again

Where on earth have American Alpha gone? Having once been one of the company’s biggest and best tag teams, Gable & Jordan have slipped down the card on SmackDown Live despite many people tipping them for great things.

On the opposite end of the scale The New Day seem poised to capture the Tag Team Championships from The Usos, and if that happens, then we could have an interesting dilemma on our hands. Alpha would provide New Day with a choice: get serious, or we’re going to suplex you into oblivion. What will they decide?

#10 Shane McMahon vs. Kevin Owens

McMahon to steal the show once again?

Shane McMahon made all of his critics eat their words at WrestleMania 33, with his performance against AJ Styles exceeding all expectations. With that in mind, let’s just picture how he’d fare when going up against the new face of America – who ironically enough, he’s had quite a lot of contact with since returning last year.

The two men have traded verbal jabs back and forth as recently as a few weeks ago, with there being a clear chemistry between the two. Sure a lot of fans wouldn’t be happy to see Owens being kept away from the main event picture by a McMahon, but it’s a guaranteed way to get KO over in a big time match.
