2 Things WWE should do with Kevin Owens and 1 thing they shouldn't

On this week's episode of RAW, Seth Rollins called out several wrestlers of the roster for underperforming at Survivor Series. One of the names he mentioned was Kevin Owens. Rollins criticized Owens for being lazy, leading to a face-off between the two guys, eventually resulting in a match that was the main event of the show.

Owens was quite clearly the more popular guy, and fans expected him to win the match. However, the Authors of Pain interrupted the match and attacked him, causing a DQ. This had lead to some fans speculating that Rollins will form a faction with AOP shortly.

After the attack, Rollins stomped Owens twice, indicating that he is slowly turning heel. It makes sense as he has not been getting a good reaction from the fans for the last few months. As for Owens, he has a lot to gain from this feud.

In this article, we will explore two things WWE should do and one thing they shouldn't do with Kevin Owens.

#3 Should: Overcome Seth Rollins

It looks like Owens will be feuding with Rollins in the build-up to the TLC PPV, which takes place next month. Owens has had a great last few months as he overcame Shane McMahon on SmackDown much to the delight of fans. He became a star in their eyes and got a lot of momentum behind him.

During the WWE Draft, he was put on RAW to freshen things up. Then, it looked like he would feud with AJ Styles, but plans changed, and now, he's involved with Seth Rollins. The right thing to do here is to have him overcome any odds in front of him to beat Rollins.

A PPV victory against Rollins could do a lot of wonders for Owens and further increase his momentum. However, a loss would taint this run and would be unnecessary. So, he should come out as the winner, which could put him in line for a strong push until WrestleMania next year.

#2. Shouldn't: Overexpose him

Avoid overexposure

In this generation, one of the biggest problems in WWE is the overexposure of wrestlers. Due to the sheer amount of programming available, it's easy for fans to become bored with any wrestler. It affects even the most popular wrestlers and exposes their weakness. Guys like Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins suffered because of that and earned the wrath of fans.

Therefore, WWE should be careful with how they handle Owens. He's riding a wave of momentum right now, and that could all be gone if they make the same mistakes. So, the best course of action would be to not put him on high profile matches or long segments every week.

As long as they are selective with that, there shouldn't be a problem in maintaining his momentum. It doesn't mean he shouldn't show up on every show, but rather it means that WWE should keep things fresh and not let fans get tired of him.

#1. Should: Push him as the face of the company

Since Seth Rollins is showing signs of a heel turn, he leaves his spot as the face of the company. Rollins and Roman Reigns have shared that role for the last few years and dominated the proceedings. This provides an opportunity for a fresh start and someone new to fill up that spot.

There are only a few wrestlers on the roster, who are beloved by the fans, and Owens is one of them. His feud against Shane McMahon established him as the rebel and the voice of the fans. This firmly put the WWE Universe behind him, which makes him a great choice to be the top star of the company.

After years of being a heel, Owens now feels fresh and intriguing as a character. Putting the strap on him and pushing him to the moon is the right thing to do at this stage.
