Mustafa Ali makes his return to 205 Live tonight

This week's episode of 205 Live featured the Lucha House Party attempting to make it through the onslaught of Tony Nese and Buddy Murphy, along with the return of Mustafa Ali, who went toe-to-toe with the deadly striker Hideo Itami.

The purple brand also continued to build towards the Cruiserweight Championship match at Summerslam as both Drew Gulak and Cedric Alexander reacted to the vicious assault on the champion lead by Gulak last week.

Lucha House Party (Kalisto and Lince Dorado) vs Buddy Murphy and Tony Nese

For the first time in a month, the Lucha House Party came to the ring with all three members, with Gran Metalik standing in the corner of his LHP brothers.

Murphy and Nese stormed the ring, showing they were all business. Murphy and Dorado began the match. Dorado attempted to dance around the ring and Murphy, but the Juggernaut's power was too much to handle. Murphy launched Dorado into his corner before tagging in Nese, who immediately lost the momentum built up by Murphy.

Nese tagged himself in and brutalized the former Cruiserweight Champion, beating him into the mat with elbows before putting him into a headlock. Nese then tossed him into his corner and tagged Murphy back in, who rocked Kalisto with fists and elbows. As Murphy tagged Nese back in, Kalisto tried to escape, but Murphy slammed him followed by a moonsault from Nese, nearly picking up the win.

Kalisto and Murphy were tagged in, with Murphy countering a spinning tornado DDT from Kalisto. Before he could capitalize, Kalisto threw him into the turnbuckle, followed by a hurricanrana slamming Murphy's face into the mat.

Nese whipped Kalisto into the ropes, then caught the rebounding Lucha Dragon with a heavy shoulder tackle. Nese tagged the Juggernaut back in, who continued to punish Kalisto and keep him off his feet with a headlock in the center of the ring. Kalisto worked his way back to a standing position, but Murphy locked him back down. Kalisto finally broke out of the headlock with a jawbreaker followed by a kick to the head, then made it to the apron. Knocking Nese to the ground, Kalisto nearly picked up the win with a springboard sunset flip.

Dorado attempted to bring in Kalisto, but Murphy knocked him off. Murphy and Nese slung Dorado into the ropes only for him to turn it into a double Golden Rewind, stunning Nese and Murphy and forcing them to the outside. Kalisto and Dorado then dove outside, taking out their opponents.

Kalisto almost tagged Lince Dorado in, but Nese yanked him off the apron before Kalisto could make it, allowing Murphy to slam Kalisto with a German suplex. Nese tagged in, and the two powerhouses attempted to keep Kalisto away from his corner, but Kalisto knocked Nese into Murphy, finally tagging in the Golden Linx, who took down both Nese and Murphy with chops and kicks. With Murphy out of the way, Dorado caught the Premier Athlete with a superkick followed by a Bronco Buster and a reverse DDT.

Dorado and Kalisto brought Nese and Murphy in, but Murphy drove Dorado to the outside, then distracted Kalisto, allowing Nese to roll him up for the win.

Hideo Itami and Mustafa Ali are both looking for respect tonight

Before the main event, it was announced that, along with Cedric Alexander vs Jack Gallagher, Lio Rush and Akira Tozawa will go one-on-one again next week.

Mustafa Ali vs Hideo Itami

Before the match began, the commentary team ran down the highlights of Mustafa Ali, stating that most of the highlights of 205 Live in 2018 involve Ali.

As Itami made his way to the ring, he demanded respect from the crowd and his opponent.

The match began with Ali wary of Itami's strikes, dodging multiple kicks. Ali picked Itami's leg, then locked in a headlock. Itami broke out, and Ali continued to avoid the kicks of Itami, taking him to the ground with a standing dropkick.

Ali evaded a knee lift with a cartwheel, then caught a kick from Itami, following it up with a spinning heel kick. As Itami rolled to the outside, Ali chased after him with a somersault plancha over the ropes. Ali threw Itami back inside, hitting a high angle crossbody off the top rope, only managing a 1-count.

Mustafa Ali stalled a bit, however, allowing Itami to get back up and catch him with a few kicks, putting the high flyer down for a time. Ali made his way back to his feet, trading kicks with Itami before the two made their way to the outside, where Itami pelted Ali with multiple kicks to the chest.

As Itami continued to kick his opponent, he again told the crowd to respect him. However, this seemed to be enough of a distraction for Ali to get some offense in, but he was cut off when Itami dropkicked Ali into the ring post from the apron.

Itami placed Ali's head on the screen off the apron and kicked it, seemingly putting Ali in a daze. Getting back into the ring, Itami yet again punished Ali with multiple kicks and stomps to Ali's chest and head, followed by a knee lift, turning Ali inside out.

Ali fought out of a headlock, only for Itami to stop him yet again with another knee lift, injuring Ali's ribs. Itami put his foot on Ali's chest for a pin, but Ali kicked out at two.

Itami went for another knee lift, but Ali countered it into a crucifix pin, nearly getting the win.

Ali evaded an assault from Itami who chased him into the turnbuckle, but when he went for the rolling X-Factor facebuster, Itami landed a kick on Ali that forced him to land on his head. Ali kicked out at two again.

Ali yet again began to build momentum, retrying the rolling X-Factor, connecting this time but only garnering a two-count. Ali picked up Itami but was almost caught by a German suplex for his trouble. He escaped, catching Itami with a superkick, but Itami landed a devastating spinning back fist before both men fell to the ground.

As they got back to their feet, Ali went for the tilt-a-whirl DDT, but Itami countered it into the Falcon Arrow. Yet again, Ali kicked out. Itami took Ali to the top rope, looking for a top rope superplex. However, Ali knocked him off the top, followed up by a sunset flip turned into a sit out powerbomb. Itami kicked out.

Itami avoided an attack by Ali and went for his finisher, only for Ali to escape it twice. However, an exhausted Ali was then launched into the turnbuckle by Itami with a belly to belly suplex.

Ali kicked out, and Itami, frustrated, dragged Itami to the stairs where he attempted to dropkick Ali's skull into the steel steps like he did in the fatal-4-way two weeks prior. Ali avoided it, then caught Itami with a tornado DDT from the top rope to the outside.

Ali rolled Itami inside, but when he went for the 054, he lost his balance and seemed dazed and confused. Itami took advantage, hanging him up in the Tree of Woe followed by three basement dropkicks, finally picking up the win.

Results: Hideo Itami defeated Mustafa Ali via pinfall

After the match, Ali had a hard time getting to his feet, then fell and landed on the bottom rope. The referee began issuing concussion tests as Drake Maverick slid into the ring to end the show.
