3 biggest things WWE cleverly told us on the latest episode of Monday Night RAW ( 22nd April 2019)

What an eventful show!
What an eventful show!

The post Superstar Shake-Up RAW was anticipated to be awe-inspiring, and it certainly met expectations this week. With the arrival of several new superstars, the roster of the red brand is looking fresh. As a matter of fact, we witnessed some new bouts this week which freshened things up.

It was definitely the night of AJ Styles who became the number one contender for the Universal Championship after winning two matches in the same night. Cesaro made his return on the flagship show with a win as he defeated the RAW debutant Cedric Alexander, while Naomi pinned one half of The IIconics, Billie Key.

The most exciting part of the night was the return of Bray Wyatt, but the former WWE Champion shockingly returned with a new gimmick which is contrasting to his old one. The new NXT duo The Viking Raiders dismantled the Lucha House Party. Another surprising sight was the name change of Bobby Roode whose new name is Robert Roode, who went on to defeat Ricochet. "The Man" dismantled Alicia Fox, but Lacey Evans viciously assaulted the double champion.

Overall, it was certainly an exciting edition of Monday Night RAW. Here we discuss three things WWE cleverly told us on RAW this week.

#3 WWE is building Sami Zayn as a massive heel

Sami Zayn has been highly impressive after returning from injury. The former NXT Champion made his comeback after the Showcase of Immortals this month. Zayn immediately turned heel after his return.

Zayn had colossal success in NXT where he won the NXT Championship. He had memorable bouts in the developmental brand, but he failed to replicate it on the main roster. Since he made his debut on the main roster, he hasn't exactly been pushed.

It is no secret that Zayn is doing a job similar to Elias'. Zayn has been upsetting the WWE Universe every week to get nuclear heat. Though Zayn's next opponent is still ambiguous, he is likely to produce a great rivalry with any superstar of the red brand. With his current momentum, Zayn could turn out to be the best villain of the RAW if he is booked well.

#2 The Usos, Viking Raiders, and Revival could fight to be number one contenders

There is no denying that the addition of two new tag teams after the Superstar Shake-Up gave a gigantic boost to the RAW Tag Team division. The Tag Team division of the red brand has been substandard in the last few months as the quality of the matches has not been praiseworthy.

The Usos, who arrived from SmackDown Live, could certainly replicate their dominance on the red brand. The twin brothers won the SmackDown Tag Team Championships four times. Hence, they will be aiming to win the RAW Tag Team Titles for the first time in their careers. Former champions The Revival is out there too, looking to bag the gold again. The Usos and The Revival came face to face in a backstage segment this week.

The new NXT recruits, The Viking Raiders, who are still the current NXT Tag Team Champions, cannot be ruled out. They made a big statement after making their debut last week, and they mauled the Lucha House Party this week. Therefore, we could see a match between the three teams of RAW and the winning team could take on the RAW Tag Team Champion, Zack Ryder, and Curt Hawkins.

#1 The feud between AJ Styles and Seth Rollins could be the feud of the year

It should be classic

A dream came true for the majority of the wrestling fans when AJ Styles earned the ticket to challenge the Universal Champion, Seth Rollins. The Phenomenal One overcame two obstacles to become the Universal Title challenger at Money in the Bank. Styles won the triple threat match against Rey mysterio and Samoa Joe. The former WWE Champion subsequently defeated Baron Corbin to qualify for Money in the Bank.

Considering Styles and Rollins are two of the best in-ring performers of WWE, the match could be remarkable when the two men will eventually square off. With three weeks left for Money in the Bank, Vince McMahon will get ample time to build this match.

It is undoubtedly a WrestleMania calibre match, but the fans will be still delighted to see this bout at Money in the Bank. Both the Superstars are babyfaces, and either of the two Superstars could turn heel in the next few weeks. Since it is a dream rivalry, Styles and Rollins could offer a lengthy feud which could extend till Summerslam. We are destined to see some of the best matches of the year by these two men when they will tussle each other.
