3 Biggest things WWE could be planning for Monday Night Raw (25 February, 2019)

Will we see these three together again?
Will we see these three together again?

Last week's episode of Raw followed the Elimination Chamber PPV. While the pay-per-view was a solid event from top to bottom, the same can't be said for Raw.

The episode had no real intrigue and did nothing to build-up WrestleMania. Sure the debut of some NXT superstars was an amusing night for some fans, but having them in meaningless matches instead of telling more about their character and building their personality does nothing for them.

There was no Brock Lesnar to promote his match with Seth Rollins, and their match seems to be an afterthought because of how engrossing the feud between Ronda Rousey and Becky Lynch has been so far.

I think the only news-worthy angle coming from the Elimination Chamber PPV was Lynch attacking both Flair and Rousey, and most people tuned in to Raw to see if the story was going to be progressed further, but the absence of either Lynch or Flair led to the fans tuning out in droves after the first hour.

This week, WWE is advertising the return of Roman Reigns, and there will be a celebration for Ric Flair's 70th birthday. Plus, Brock Lesnar will probably be there since PWInsider broke the news a few weeks ago.

The show looks to be in good shape but what will the WWE have in store for us in this upcoming episode? Here are the three biggest things WWE could be planning for Monday Night RAW.

#3 – Dean Ambrose and Braun Strowman team up

In case you missed it, Baron Corbin, Bobby Lashley and Drew McIntyre teamed up again to join forces against Braun Strowman at the Elimination Chamber event.

Strowman tried hard, hut 3 men were just too much for him to handle. Next night on Raw, a battered Strowman put Baron Corbin down in a one-on-one contest while Dean Ambrose took care of Drew McIntyre.

Ever since the news broke out that Dean Ambrose is leaving WWE once his contract expires, we have seen a shift in his character. He's been booked like a babyface for the past three weeks or so and going against Drew McIntyre indicates that he might team up with Strowman to even the odds.

Hopefully, when the smoke clears, it all turns out that this Ambrose debacle is a work, and if it isn't, these mini-feuds will be a good way for him to go out.

#2 – There is a brief Shield reunion

This will be a hell of a show!
This will be a hell of a show!

The former Universal Champion, Roman Reigns, is set to make his return in this upcoming episode of Monday Night Raw, and he will inscribe the situation of his fight with Leukaemia.

There are plenty of rumours circulating about whether he will be making his in-ring return or he will just announce a timeline for his return. But since he will be in for the show, the WWE could use him in a segment with his former brothers.

Seth Rollins is set to take on Brock Lesnar for the Universal title at the Grandest Stage of Them All, and Dean Ambrose seems to have settled his differences with him, we could witness a brief Shield moment.

And Since Dean Ambrose has chosen to leave the WWE once his contract expires, it will probably be the last time we will see the legendary trio side by side in the squared circle.

#1 – Becky Lynch ruins Ric Flair's Birthday celebration

The 16-time world champion and WWE Hall of Famer, Ric Flair, is set to appear in this upcoming episode of Monday Night Raw where he will celebrate his 70th birthday. The Nature Boy last appeared on Smackdown Live's 1000 episode where he made his return with the legendary Evolution stable.

Since these types of celebration often end in chaos, don't be surprised to see WWE using this angle to build-up the storyline feud between Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair.

Speaking of the ongoing feud, Becky Lynch made her presence felt on the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view and attacked both Charlotte Flair and Ronda Rousey with crutches. Both Flair and Rousey have yet to seek retribution against Lynch, and this could be their night to do it.

Knowing Becky Lynch, she will definitely appear on Raw despite her suspension, and the celebration is going to be interspersed by The Man.

And if the WWE wants to continue their streak of good TV ratings, this is the best they can do right now.
