It was a solid show
It was a solid show

The Biggest Party of the Summer, SummerSlam, was one hell of a show as it had some action-packed matches. Although a total of ten matches were scheduled to take place, two more matches were added to the kick-off show.

A number of titles were defended and one title changed hands. SummerSlam was held in Toronto, Ontario, Canada this year. A sold-out Scotiabank Arena was loud during the show. Goldberg proved his dominance again when he squashed Dolph Ziggler. The RAW Women's Champion Becky Lynch retained the red belt against Natalya, while Bayley managed to defend the blue belt successfully against Ember Moon. Moreover, Trish Stratus lost her final match in WWE.

Ricochet and AJ Styles produced a stellar match as the latter retained the US Title. The Fiend made an awe-inspiring debut when he defeated Finn Balor. The Universal Championship Match was certainly the match of the night as Seth Rollins regained the Universal Champion by pinning Brock Lesnsar.

Let's discuss three things WWE made clear at SummerSlam:

#3 The Fiend will terrorize WWE

There is no denying that the fans were eagerly waiting for the in-ring debut of The Fiend. Bray's Wyatt's new gimmick has taken WWE by storm and his alter ego has been the focal point. While The Fiend's entrance was astounding, his performance was equally good at the Scotiabank Arena.

Finn Balor, who faced The Fiend at SummerSlam, looked terrified when the latter made his entrance. The Fiend's entrance music was the remix version of Bray Wyatt's old theme song but it was certainly captivating. The match lasted a couple of minutes as The Fiend used Mandible Claw to beat the former Universal Champion.

Judging by the match at SummerSlam, WWE has big plans for the new Bray Wyatt and he will continue to terrorize WWE. Prior to Balor, The Fiend also assaulted Kurt Angle and Mick Foley. It will be interesting to see who becomes the next victim of The Fiend.

#2 Charlotte Flair is truly the Queen of all Eras

A number of gigantic matches took place in Toronto and the match between Trish Stratus and Charlotte Flair stood out from the rest. When Charlotte didn't have an opponent at The Biggest Party of the Summer, she challenged Trish Status a few weeks ago. Without a shadow of a doubt, Charlotte and Trish are the two biggest names of the women's division and it was certainly the biggest women's bout after the main event of WrestleMania 35.

Since the two women share sixteen titles between them, the anticipation was sky-high from the match. The Queen is one of the best athletes in the company and she showed her dexterity in the ring. Trish, on the other hand, has been away from the ring for a long time but she delivered a noteworthy performance. The seven-time Women's Champion brought the best out Charlotte and it was one of the best matches of the night.

It was the final match of Trish's career. Charlotte added another feather in her illustrious career by defeating Trish Stratus in her retirement match. The nine-time Women's Champion proved that she is the Queen of all Eras and one of the greatest female Superstars to grace the WWE ring if not the greatest.

#1 It's the end of the rivalry between Seth Rollins and Brock Lesnar

The Universal Championship was on the line in the main event of SummerSlam. Brock Lesnar defended the most coveted prize of the red brand against Seth Rollins. Brock Lesnar won the belt at Extreme Rules where he cashed in the Money in the Bank contract successfully.

While the build-up of the match was stupendous, the result of the match certainly shocked everyone. Following two brutal assaults in the past two weeks, Rollins didn't look at his peak as he had a kayfabe injury. Despite the injury, Rollins slew the Beast at the Scotiabank Arena and it was a clean victory over Lesnar. After the memorable match at The Grandest Stage of Them All, Rollins managed to become the Beastslayer again.

Considering Rollins won fair and square at SummerSlam, they are unlikely to renew the rivalry. Moreover, it has been a lengthy rivalry as it started earlier this year. The new Universal Champion Seth Rollins could find a new challenger after SummerSlam.
