3 errors WWE made on RAW this week (25 March 2019)

The excitement was high this week as it was the second last RAW before the Grandest Stage of Them All. With less than two weeks left for the biggest wrestling event of the year, the flagship show was expected to be spectacular. In all honesty, it was not a remarkable show. Though some bouts and segments were praiseworthy, some matches disappointed the fans.

With the current storyline, several matches were anticipated to be confirmed this week for WrestleMania 35. Vince McMahon's billion dollar company finalized three new matches this week.

Finn Balor overcame Jinder Mahal and Bobby Lashley in a handicap match, and he earned the right to face the Intercontinental Champion Lashley at the Show of Shows. The Women's Tag Team Champions Boss N Hug Connection will defend the twin belts against three other teams while Roman Reigns accepted the challenge of Drew McIntyre and the two men are set to collide in New Jersey.

Despite offering some astounding episodes in the last few weeks, the flagship show failed to continue the impressive momentum this week. Here we discuss three errors WWE made this week.

#3 Adding Nia Jax and Tamina to the Women's Tag Team Title match

The Women's Tag Team match was finalized this week as Sasha Banks and Bayley will put the twin belts on the line against three teams. In fact, two teams will challenge from the red brand, and one team will contest from the blue brand. The Boss N Hug Connection already stated that they will defend the belts against any team from any brand.

The team of Nia Jax and Tamina, Natalya and Beth Phoenix and IIconics will fight for the twin belts in New Jersey. The IIconics defeated the champions when they appeared on Smackdown Live last week. Beth Phoenix is coming back from retirement, and she would love to grab the belts with Natalya. However, the inclusion of Nia Jax and Tamina raised eyebrows.

Nia Jax and Tamina already got a title shot at Fastlane where Banks and Tamina beat them. The two women did not earn the right to get another title shot at the Showcase of Immortals. Moreover, Nia Jax and Tamina don't have the same dexterity as the other six women who will be competing in this match.

#2 No appearance from Brock Lesnar or Batista

Considering only two weeks are left before the Show of Shows, RAW was expected to have some big names. Surprisingly, two colossal names were absent from the flagship show this week. The Universal Champion Brock Lesnar, who appeared last week, was absent from RAW this week. Lesnar has the most prestigious title of the red brand, and his absence certainly hurts the build-up.

Lesnar's advocate Paul Heyman had a fierce segment with Seth Rollins, but it was not enough to raise interest before WrestleMania. Lesnar's presence could have made a gigantic difference, but he is expected to appear next week, which will be the last RAW before the Showcase of Immortals.

Batista also skipped RAW this week. The Animal appeared on RAW via satellite last week when he cut an impressive promo. Triple H returned the favor this week, but Batista's presence could have made it better. The Game announced that he will put his career on the line in New Jersey.

#1 Beat the Clock Challenge made no sense

The RAW Women's Championship match has provoked interest in WWE Universe. The bout is set to be the first women's match to main-event WrestleMania. Though the build-up of the match has been exciting for weeks, it did not meet the expectations this week.

Ronda Rousey, Becky Lynch, and Charlotte Flair opened RAW this week. As a matter of fact, three women participated in Beat the Clock Challenge which was won by Becky Lynch.

The Challenge did not have any significance before the Show of Shows. The three women did not accomplish anything after squashing the members of Riott Squad. Moreover, WWE announced that Rousey, Lynch, and Flair will face the Riott Squad in a tag team match next week on RAW which is an absurd decision.

Considering the stature of this bout, the fans expected a massive verbal altercation between the three women. Following Rousey's domination last week, the RAW Women's Champion could have dismantled Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch this week.
