3 exciting things WWE should do this week on RAW and SmackDown Live (22 & 23 April 2019)

The excitement sky-rocketed after an awe-inspiring Superstar Shake-up last week. The Shake-up takes place every year after WrestleMania. Many superstars change brands, and it freshens things up.

Two biggest names of Vince McMahon's billion dollar company swapped brands last week. AJ Styles was a shocking entrant on RAW while Roman Reigns surpassed it when he arrived on SmackDown Live. The flagship show also got Andrade, Rey Mysterio, The Usos, Naomi, Cedric Alexander, Aleister Black, and many more. Moreover, the Viking Experience from NXT debuted on RAW.

The blue brand added some notable names to their roster. The Intercontinental Champion, Finn Balor, arrived on the blue brand, while it also saw Elias, Appollo Crews, Lars Sullivan, Chad Gable, Buddy Murphy. The women's division of the blue brand got a big boost after the arrival of Bayley, Ember Moon, Mickie James, and Liv Morgan.

With stupendous episodes of RAW and SmackDown Live last week, WWE will be focused on continuing the good run this week. Here we discuss three things WWE should do this week.

#3 Sami Zayn should get a new opponent

Sami Zayn on RAW last week

Sami Zayn, who returned from an injury on the RAW after WrestleMania, has been impressive. The former NXT Champion returned as a heel, and he has garnered the attention of the fans. As a matter of fact, he has garnered nuclear heat as a heel in recent weeks, which makes him a deserving candidate to get a good push.

Zayn had remarkable success in NXT where he became the champion of the developmental brand. Unfortunately, he failed to maintain the same momentum on the main roster, and his main roster run has been substandard. Judging by his promos in recent weeks, he has the potential to be a top guy of the company, and WWE might push him.

Since Zayn is a heel, several babyfaces could start a new rivalry with Zayn on RAW. Rey Mysterio or AJ Styles could be ideal opponents for Zayn at Money in the Bank.

#2 A new feud between Buddy Murphy and Finn Balor

The Intercontinental Champion, Finn Balor, is the latest member of SmackDown Live, and he needs a new opponent on the blue brand. The Leader of the Balor Club faced Ali in his SmackDown Live debut as he won the bout last week. Balor had a lengthy rivalry with Bobby Lashley which ended at the Showcase of Immortals.

Buddy Murphy, who is a former Cruiserweight Champion, joined SmackDown Live after the Superstar Shake-up. The former 205 Live star needs a credible opponent to make a statement on the blue brand, and Finn Balor could be a great choice. A feud between Murphy and Balor could be a fresh rivalry for the fans.

With Money in the Bank just three weeks away, this feud can garner the attention of the fans. Considering both men are stellar performers in the squared circle, they could produce extraordinary matches.

#1 Farewell singles match for Dean Ambrose

Will he get a farewell match?

It is no secret that Dean Ambrose is leaving Vince McMahon's billion dollar company. WWE announced in January that the former WWE Champion would part with the company after the Show of Shows. The departure of the Lunatic Fringe is undoubtedly heartbreaking for the WWE Universe, as he is immensely popular.

WWE held The Shield's Final Chapter Show on Sunday as Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, and Dean Ambrose shared the squared circle one last time. The trio squared off with the team of Bobby Lashley, Drew McIntyre, and Baron Corbin. The Shield closed the final chapter of their journey on a winning note, as they won the bout.

Ambrose's contract will expire in the last week of April, and we might witness another match of the Lunatic Fringe. The fans were not pleased when Ambrose did not have a match at the Grandest Stage of Them All this year.

However, he deserves a farewell match to conclude the memorable journey of his WWE career, and it will not be surprising to see him compete in his final match on RAW this week.
