3 Fantastic botches and mistakes you missed this week on SmackDown Live (August 20th, 2019)

SmackDown Live this week was promoted as the night that the WWE Universe would finally find out who had been attacking Roman Reigns. The Big Dog has been the victim of two separate random attacks backstage at both SmackDown Live and Monday Night Raw, but interestingly in recent weeks, the former World Champion's attacker looks to have vanished.

There have been no attacks since the weeks leading up to SummerSlam, but it appears that Rowan and Daniel Bryan are still on the case when it comes to figuring out who it was that attacked Reigns and clearing the former Wyatt Family member's name.

The King of the Ring Tournament also kicked off this week on SmackDown Live with both Andrade and Elias moving forward in the competition with interesting victories over Apollo Crews and Kevin Owens.

In the midst of the build-up towards Clash of Champions, there were a number of interesting botches that the WWE Universe may have missed from last night's episode of SmackDown Live.

#3 Production errors continue

Monday Night Raw this week had a number of interesting production errors when it came to sound and lighting throughout the show. It appears that this continued on SmackDown Live last night because there were several botches with cameramen who were filming in the wrong place or caught int he wrong position.

As stated on yesterday's botches post, it's unknown as to whether or not the production team has changed over the past few weeks which could be the main reason why the botches have been much more noticeable recently, but it's something that the company should definitely have picked up on and hopefully by next week's episode of Raw they will have ironed out some of the biggest issues.

#2 Heavy Machinery reappear and botch once again

Heavy Machinery once again managed to botch their match on SmackDown Live

Heavy Machinery returned to WWE TV this week on SmackDown Live and took on The Revival, who had already taken a beating at the hands of Kofi Kingston earlier in the show. Heavy Machinery have proved a number of times that whilst they understand how to wrestle a match, the psychology just isn't there at present and that's why so many of their matches make no sense.

This week, Otis let go of Dash Wilder whilst heading in to tag his partner Tucker, which is something a face should never do in a wrestling ring before the finish looked quite dead.

The rollup on Tucker should have been a quick one so it looked as though The Revival had "stolen one" but it didn't work out that way since his shoulders weren't down as soon as he hit the mat and the referee was then forced to wait and count when they were down to follow the rules.

It was just another shocking outing from Heavy Machinery who continue to be a featured team on this weekly round-up of botches and mistakes on SmackDown Live.

#1 Kofi Kingston can't figure out how to use his chair

Kofi Kingston and Randy Orton are definitely going to collide at Clash of Champions in a few weeks time since the main feud revolving around the WWE Championship right now includes both men as well as The New Day and The Revival.

After The Revival attacked Xavier Woods on Monday Night Raw and left him "injured" Kofi Kingston decided that he needed to exact some revenge on SmackDown Live, so he attacked Randy Orton from behind during a promo before he then decided to acquire the use of a chair.

The Revival injured Xavier Woods leg on Raw, so Kingston looked to do the same to Randy Orton, but unlike The Viper, Kingston hasn't got a lot of experience setting up a chair on someone's leg, which is why the WWE Champion struggled with which way round the chair needed to go on Orton's leg.

Of course, WWE stars know how to do these moves safely, which is why Kingston took his time and ensured that it was correctly applied rather than rushing and injuring Orton.
