A few interesting observations from this week's edition of Monday Night RAW (September 16)

This week's edition of Monday Night RAW saw a lot of contrasting moments. From The Fiend terrorizing the WWE Universe at the end of the show to Kane becoming our new 24/7 champion for a short amount of time, last night's episode had it all.

Honestly, this edition of RAW was one of the most experimental, bizarre and highly satisfying WWE shows we have seen all year. After all, who would have thought that we would witness a Kane return, Maria Kanellis' baby gender reveal that led to a Rusev return, and a massive cliffhanger that truly established Bray Wyatt and Seth Rollins' feud as a high-stakes situation?

Let us take a look at some interesting observations from this week's episode of Monday Night RAW.

#3 Baron Corbin winning the KOTR Tournament was (oddly) the right decision to make in the end

Initially, it was pretty apparent that Baron Corbin needed to stay in the tournament to increase conflicts in the latter half of the tournament.

That is what he precisely did, but make no mistake, a lot of people thought this was supposed to be Chad Gable's 'underdog' moment, and WWE misdirected fans by eventually booking Corbin to win the entire tournament.

Of course, this led to some online outrage, as expected, but when you think about it, 'King Corbin' has a better future as a standalone gimmick than 'King Gable' would have ever had. Corbin's persisting quality to annoy fans truly makes him one of the last breed of heels that people love to hate.

Now that this year's King of the Ring tournament is over with, Baron Corbin can exercise his gimmick's potential to a greater extent, and at this point, anyone who feuds with Corbin automatically gains some fan support as a result.

So whether you like it or not, King Corbin is here to stay...

#2 Kane's duality as a WWE Character was the most entertaining aspect of the night

Kane was one of the many reasons why last night's RAW was a bizarrely satisfying affair.

The Big Red Machine first appeared in front of R-Truth and Carmella as himself - Glenn Jacobs, the Mayor of Knox County, Tennessee.

Even though their segments were entertaining as a whole, fans knew where it was heading. Glenn Jacobs dethroned R-Truth and became the new 24/7 champion for a short while, as R-Truth would later win it back again in hilarious fashion.

That is exactly what people thought Kane's role was going to be for that night.

But unexpectedly, The Big Red Machine came to Seth Rollins' aid when Bobby Roode, Dolph Ziggler & The O.C. (AJ Styles, Luke Gallows, Karl Anderson) attacked our current Universal Champion.

We all know what happened next (more on that in the next slide), but as far as characters go, Kane stole the show by portraying how duality can be one of the most entertaining aspects of Professional Wrestling.

#1 'The Fiend' Bray Wyatt & Seth Rollins' feud is already on the path to become the best Universal Title feud so far

When it comes to ending a three-hour Sports Entertainment show like Monday Night RAW, last night's episode was one of the best examples of that in recent memory.

The Fiend claiming Demon Kane as his next victim and then maniacally slithering towards a cornered Seth Rollins was scary to its core. Also, ending the show with an edited outro of the Firefly Fun House theme song was an amazing touch.

It proved that Bray Wyatt and the Firefly Fun House was the main theme of RAW last night, after all, the fact that upside-down graphics flashed across our screen after the opening segment was a red herring all along.

But we only witnessed one night of this newly-established feud between Wyatt and Rollins, and if this is exactly what will be in store for future shows, fans can strap in for a roller-coaster ride to witness the best Universal Title feud so far.
