A few interesting observations from this week's edition of Monday Night RAW (September 23)

This week's edition of Monday Night RAW saw a lot of contrasting moments. From The Fiend, Bray Wyatt, ambushing his former Wyatt Family member Braun Strowman to Carmella capturing the 24/7 title from R-Truth, last night's episode had it all.

The Red Brand has been on a winning streak lately, and this week's RAW was no exception. Admittedly, a huge chunk of RAW's success can be attributed to Bray Wyatt/The Fiend and 24/7 title shenanigans. But we can only look forward to more exciting things next week when WWE puts a new spin on the red brand.

Let us take a look at some interesting observations from this week's episode of Monday Night RAW:

#3 Why Carmella as new 24/7 champion puts a twist on WWE's clichéd theme regarding broken friendships

We know that the most important thing in R-Truth's world is the 24/7 championship, and he would do anything to win it back again.

But last night, Carmella pinned R-Truth to become the new 24/7 champion, and he seemed relieved. We have seen tag teams and friendships breaking over many betrayals throughout WWE history.

However, Carmella winning the 24/7 title ended up being an improvisation for her friendship with R-Truth.

Perhaps the reason why R-Truth and Carmella's equation hasn't changed one bit is that in somewhat of a comically sensible situation in the record champ's world, Carmella as the 24/7 title holder puts a lot of weight off his shoulders.

Most of us had predicted that Carmella winning the 24/7 title would mark the end of their long friendship in WWE.

But the writers twisted this situation into something fun and satisfying at the same time, and then again, R-Truth can become a 20-time 24/7 champion at any given time now.

What 24/7 title shenanigans will occur during the season premiere of a brand new Monday Night RAW next week?

#2 AOP's rebranded gimmick is great news for WWE's Tag Team Division

The AOP was a fierce unit during their initial run, but they could never quite reach their full potential on the main roster.

On top of that, Akam and Rezar had been off TV for months now.

But things changed when both members re-introduced themselves in their authentic language last week.

This attitude would branch off into last night's show, where AOP's hitmen-like approach to their promos led to Akam and Rezar beating up a couple of jobbers outside the interview room.

What's even more interesting is that they went back to the interview and acted as if what they just did a few moments ago was a piece of cake.

Sportskeeda's own Riju Dasgupta made a perfect comparison between AOP and the Salamancas from Breaking Bad.

In my opinion, showcasing Tag Team members as wrestlers with actual personalities is exactly what the division needs to grow.

#1 How Firefly Fun House perfectly foreshadowed The Fiend's attack on Braun Strowman in the end

It is obvious why The Fiend would attack his former-friend Braun Strowman during The Monster Among Men's match against Seth Rollins in the main event of the night.

Earlier in the show, Bray Wyatt through the Firefly Fun House expressed that The Fiend doesn't like to share.

Of course, The Fiend doesn't like the fact that other Superstars get to face Seth Rollins before their match at Hell in a Cell.

Also, The Fiend never forgets. One of the main reasons why Bray Wyatt morphed into The Fiend is because his Wyatt Family allies (including Braun Strowman) left him all alone in the end.

Bray Wyatt promised Ramblin' Rabbit and Huskus The Pig Boy that he wouldn't hurt Seth Rollins last night. This detail from the Firefly Fun House played into action when The Fiend only attacked Braun Strowman during the main event.

I would also like to mention that the guerrilla-style camera work towards the end was simply amazing.

It truly seized terror and brought out a gut-wrenching feeling from the fact that The Fiend's primal instincts are to single out and claim his prey (Seth Rollins) before the actual sacrifice (at Hell in a Cell) takes place.
